Weekend Warrior Summary: This trail system is now officially closed, as the National Audubon Society has taken over as the new management team. They are concerned about damage to plants and animals so all previous activities in the park have now ceased. The Audubon has a lease for 50 years or so, so don't expect to return biking here in your lifetime.

, from Kahuku, Hawaii Summary: However once on the northshore, there are even better trails to ride, up in pupukea near waimea is "cambodia"aka kaunalu trail. This is Hawaii in its pristine state! Wet roots and killer downhill runs with uphills that will hurt") The Kahuku motocross track is without a doubt the playground of the northshore, it has more trails than you could ride in a week and some that will scare the heck out of you with others that you won't want to end! Now if you want the "challenge" of how tough you are, then peacock flats is the spot! How strong are you? Check with Barfields Raging Isle in Haleiwa, they will point you in the right direction and even rent you a bike if you need one. Enjoy our Aina, but please show it respect, because it will bite your face off if you don't") aloha, Roger in Kahuku Recommended Route: These trails are closed now! Tracy doesn't have the downhill anymore. Other recommended trails in the same area: See above

, from honolulu Summary: We(myself and xc/new to downhill buddies) liked the ride from the shed all the way up to the start of Waimea downhill and back down to valley floor and then up right side of valley following dirt road and then down some singletrack/jeep trail, and then some super single track(when we rode this it was still being built)that we could hardly see the trail only knowing that it went down and thats where we wanted to go. YOU COULD EASILY RIDE ALL DAY AND NOT GET BORED. Recommended Route: That depends on what you want! SCARYFASY? STEEP? SLOW AND ROLLING? I could go on and on. These trails were set up for every kind of rider. One word describes it all...SWEET. Go and see tracy and get riding. Other recommended trails in the same area: WEST KAUNALA TRAIL

, from NJ Summary: All I can say is when I lived in Hawaii I first learned to MTB on this ride.... And well I loved it. There are so many different types of trails for every skill level that it's hard to get bored. Another thing that makes this trail fun is the RED DIRT..... If you have ever been on a bike in Hawaii you know what I'm talking about.......... I like it because when it's dry it's fast, but when that afternoon rain comes through can you say slick as hell...... Recommended Route: Depending on your level choose the trails you feel more on the edge with....... Isn't that the only real way to ride?

, from Highland, MI Summary: If your going to be on the island and have a few hours you'd be a fool to pass up mountain biking at Waimea. Some serious down hills and assume views of the valleys and ocean. Highlights include "Fearless" and "Dead Cow Point." Recommended Route: All
