Nobody knew about this place? Ok Im not greedy so I'll fill you in! This is like Tom Tripplett Park in the way that it makes up park of the Ogeechee River Canal. Bush Road was originally a dirt path that mules pulled barges down the canal from the ogeechee river to downtown savannah. Be nice to the old guys that run it, they put a lot of blood and sweat into the place. Ok pull into the little dirt parking lot and pay to park, its what keeps the place running. Look at the maps carefully. There is a path on either side of the canal that runs all the way to the ogeechee river. The one on the left is the longest and it makes a left turn that follows the river itself. Then it gets pretty boggy and tight. Come back up and take the right split and run full tilt boogey over the bridges back to the office. Lots of bridges throughout. Also there is a more technical trail at the end of the boy scout camp area on the left side of the property (look at map) There are also smaller trails that loop around that can be fun too. Hose your legs down with bug spray to keep the occasional tic away. This place is popular with the locals so put your good foot forward with those you meet so that this trailwill stay open to bikes!

A lot of fun and something new. By the way, the bridge on the trail at the end of the boy scout camp area is slick! Be careful!

Recommended Route:
Take Abercorn past Georgetown, past I-95, drive until you see Bush Rd on your right. The parking area is on your left just before Bush Rd. If you see the convenience store and campground you went too far. Seek out the trail

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Skidaway State Park
Tom Tripplett Park (Trail head by railroad tracks)
Skdaway Trail (Not by Aquarium)
