Summary:
Just thought I'd put my 5 chili's in before this trail closes.
Not very technical, not very hard but extremely fun ride with very fast switch backs and a few good jumps.

Summary:
Chicopee AG Center will close on or about August 1st, 2004. The Chiocpee Woods Park Commission is exchanging the property for more desirable land adjacent to the park.

A school will be built on the AG Center site. SORBA supports this development. In the long run we will have a better trail system in Chicopee Woods of over twenty miles.

Why SORBA Supports the Chicopee Land Swap.

1. The Chicopee Woods Area Park Commission will compensate SORBA $99,500 for the loss of the Ag Center trail.

2. Mountain bikers will have one trailhead with 20+ miles of singletrack. SORBA has already marked eight miles of new trail in Chicopee Woods and will work with the Park Commission to supervise new construction.

3. The new trail system will have greater connectivity with other trails (Gainesville College) via the proposed Central Hall Multi-use Trail.

4. The new trail will be put into a conservation easement by the Chicopee Woods Area Park Commission, which will make it far more difficult to ever be developed for any purpose.

5. The new property added to the park will help preserve the watershed; this, in turn, protects all of Chicopee Woods, the jewel in the crown of Hall County Greenspace.

6. The land swap is good for education and for taxpayers, since the new Chicopee Woods elementary school will be built on property that cost much less than the original $800,000 budgeted.

Summary:
This trail has has a little bit of everything. Man-made jumps to a pretty tough hill. This single track's downhills give you a pretty good amount of speed, but watch uot for the tight turns. In my opinion, it is the best trail around the Gainsville area. I would tell anyone who would listen to give this trail a try

Recommended Route:
There is only one way to get there

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Chicopee(more trails but much more worn out), Gainsville Colledge(not as difficult but still pretty fun).

Summary:
This is an excellent trail with tight switchbacks and plenty of man-made obstacles to jump. Watch out in the beginning for the steep dropoff that comes up on you pretty quickly. I would rate this as an intermediate trail, but beginners should have no problems with this trail, you can go around the big obstacles if you chicken out. There are a few hills but one that is fairly steep near the end, I believe they have made changes now and the hill is not as long as it once was. This is now my favorite trail in the Gainesville area, Only wish it was longer.

Recommended Route:
The only one there

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Chicopee Woods: Much longer not as Technical, Gainesville College: About the same length as AG Center, Much easier
