Ira B. Melton Park

Here is a way to get to the trails, going south on Claimont from Mason Mill Park go down the long hill past the VA until you go under the the rail road bridge turn left on to Desmond go down the hill some then back up a hill look to the left you will see some woods and a big sign that says Ira B. Melton Park. Park near the sign. The trail is down hill of the sign about 55'. When you get on the trail there will be a Y intersection take a right. This will go for about 400'feet to a steep left down hill at the bottom of the short hill look to the right you will see a trail taking off that will lead to the newest stuff including the "Bucket Bounce" a 4' foot gap jump. Back to where you were at the main trail, it will go in the flood plain and wind a round for a little ways. One trail will tie in on the left eventually, stay on the main trail when you get to the creek you will see the small wooden bridge I made, do not cross it. Take a left down into the dark gully. This will bring you to all the log rides.

Summary:
This trail is very fun when you go as fast as you can! There are some sweet log rides and a few jumps. It is fairly flat and windy with a few bermed turns. There is on going loop connecting going on so check it out every now and then.
