Cross Country Rider Summary: My perspective: 36 old, AM/XC rider in good condition, riding for over 12 years. I love this trail. Lots of climbing on hard packed surfaces. Several steep switchbacks and extended climbs. Not for the casual rider but a great challenge for the experienced to advanced. Lots of jumps and superfast decents. Some of the best trail in Ga. Recommended Route: We always do this as an "out and back". Park at the Gates Chappel/Bear Creek forrest road. Continue on Gates Chappel, T/R on forrest road 90B, follow to Pinhotti 2, T/R on Mulberry Road, T/L on Pinhotti 3, Take this to major road and return. Can easily be combined with Pinhotti 1 and Bear Creek to make a true epic. Lots of routing options here. Other recommended trails in the same area: Bear Creek, Pinhotti 1 & 2, Tibbs, Windy Gap, Ft Mountain.
