Ridden Trail: Once a week

Cross Country Rider Summary: The total length of the trail is around 9.8 miles if you take the "red" arrows. The trail winds through the park so there is now way to get lost. I've ridden several trails in GA and Flat Rock is fast with a few climbs, but generally the faster you go, the harder it is. If ridden slowly, there are very few areas that anyone wont be able to ride. Once you figure out how to go one way on this trail, it is actually a little more challenging riding it backwards. Other recommended trails in the same area: Trail of Tears- Phenix City Ala.
Ghost Town-Salem Ala.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Cool trail system for a small park. I rode a rigid ss 29 DEAN and had a blast. Several trails not mark very well but it dose not matter. Your speed determine the intensity. Recommended Route: Just go flat out and make decisions on the fly. Not getting lost here.

Cross Country Rider Summary: I really enjoy this trail has a little of everything. Wide open areas, very tight areas, tight technical, fast and flowy, its all hear wrapped into one trail. This is my favorite trail to ride it is not a long drive from my house,(Opelika) and is tons of fun and well maintained. There was two sections of the trail on the red loop that were not marked very well and I got a little turned around but I managed to find my way back. I would recommend this trail to anyone from expert to beginner. I can't wait to go back again!!!! Recommended Route: Red loop Other recommended trails in the same area: West point as long as it hasn't rained

Racer Summary: Nice trail. I was in the Columbus area and had my 29er hard tail with me so I thought I'd check this out. The park is easy to locate and the trail head is clearly marked. I recommend this trail and will probably try to get another ride in before I leave. Notes:
- trail goes through open areas and pine forest. Some of the turns are tight but no complaints.
- not all the trail is clearly marked. I would have missed some of the better sections if I hadn't of latched onto to a local.
- the trail drains well and it only needs 24 hours after a rain to be ridable.
- mud is negligible.
- check out Mike's Bikes about 10 minutes down the road. Friendly staff.
- not much in the way of long steep or technical climbs.
- apparently I missed the rock garden.
- trail is well suited for hard tails and single speeds.
Hope this helps.

Racer Summary: Started at the trailhead. I think that the open stuff flows awesome! Fast with some roots, nice flat rock riding. Most is well-marked, although I missed a turn after the rock garden hill area by the lake...
Lots of twists on the trail as it dives into the woods. Sometimes too many twists. When you have to slow down from a good cadence to almost a stop to make some of the near 90 degree turns, there is a flow problem...An option would be to cut cut some of the saplings on the inside of these turns and widen these just a bit. That way you have a better line for carving....
Riding after a rain, huh? Yea, it make roots more technical. It also accelerates erosion too, not to mention tears up your drivetrain... Ride dirt roads instead. Give trails time to recover. This way the trail are sustainable and last...Don't be an @$$!. Recommended Route: Red loop is fun. Widen a few of those near 90 degree turns. It ruins the flow. I like tight track, but this is overkill. My 2cents... Other recommended trails in the same area: Pleasant hill (Auburn), is there anything else between Montgomery and Middle GA? (Oh...there is the trail of tears in Phenix City....haven't done it though...)
