Racer Summary: Started at the trailhead. I think that the open stuff flows awesome! Fast with some roots, nice flat rock riding. Most is well-marked, although I missed a turn after the rock garden hill area by the lake...
Lots of twists on the trail as it dives into the woods. Sometimes too many twists. When you have to slow down from a good cadence to almost a stop to make some of the near 90 degree turns, there is a flow problem...An option would be to cut cut some of the saplings on the inside of these turns and widen these just a bit. That way you have a better line for carving....
Riding after a rain, huh? Yea, it make roots more technical. It also accelerates erosion too, not to mention tears up your drivetrain... Ride dirt roads instead. Give trails time to recover. This way the trail are sustainable and last...Don't be an @$$!. Recommended Route: Red loop is fun. Widen a few of those near 90 degree turns. It ruins the flow. I like tight track, but this is overkill. My 2cents... Other recommended trails in the same area: Pleasant hill (Auburn), is there anything else between Montgomery and Middle GA? (Oh...there is the trail of tears in Phenix City....haven't done it though...)

Cross Country Rider Summary: first time riding this trail was bit confusing, but once figured out it's very quick. it's a great little trail to get back in the groove if you've been out of riding for a year or more. some fun tight switchbacks, one pretty cool mound, and really fast single track. my only complaint would have to be the morons in the area who like to go trucking ON the trail. i lost the rail twice due to destruction wraught by 4x4's. and almost hit by car on the same day. the rock bit was enjoyable. but all in all i'm used to a more secluded ride. recomended, just make sure you take your redneck repellent. Recommended Route: route pretty clearly marked with the exception of a sign post or two being turned or removed entirely. Other recommended trails in the same area: i hear trail of tears is fun.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Went out and hit this trail during a rather steady rain. Needless to say, it was a little slick but it sure was a lot of fun. The red route was a good mix of speed, technical challenge, and exercise. I give props to the guys who constructed this trail. Very clearly marked routes. Worth the trip if you are coming from out of town. Recommended Route: Red route

Cross Country Rider Summary: I rode these trails a few times about 3 years ago and they were ok. I found out they had been totally redone so I figured I would give them another shot. I have to say these trails are 100% better than the old ones. The beginner trail(orange)is pretty easy and well laid out. I can take my 10 year old son (just got his 1st mountain bike) through it without much trouble. The trails get better the further you go along and the advanced trail(red)is very fun when you get to the right hand corner of the park across from the lake. Riding this section right after it rains make it a real challenge with slippery roots. Good fun. The trails are mainly cross country with a few good hills mixed in. Thanks to the individuals who worked hard and overhauled these trails. My friends and I are really enjoying them and I have been riding there several times a week ever since going back. Recommended Route: Follow the red arrows all the way through. Starts easy and seems to get more difficult the futher you go. Other recommended trails in the same area: Trail of tears-Phenix City, AL

Cross Country Rider Summary: This trail has really come around. We are clocking 8.6 miles for the entire "red" loop with minor double tracking. Luckily, the local cycling club got a few real mountain bikers involved to aide in the design and it really shows with some real flowing lines. While the terrain doesn't offer an awful lot of elevation it is still a good workout as it is very fast. The few features involve riding on some of the granite areas ala' Conyers. We hope to eventually have a ten mile "red" loop built by the end of winter. Recommended Route: Take the red arrow loop and ride it completely. It needs some more tread to make it better. See other reviews for where to park and such. Other recommended trails in the same area: (immediate area)The trail of tears in Phenix City AL. offers a 9.6 mile loop that is at least 3x more challenging.
