Rope Mill

Lots of fire roads and very tricky doubletrack. There are some really fast/nasty downhill sections. Even during this drought, there is plenty of mud. Watch out for motorcycles and ATVs.

Ridden Trail:
Once a week

Reviewed by: William Miller , from Woodstock

Summary:
West Side: Used to be a lot of great down hill runs, river crossings, and some pretty good climbs. There are a lot of different trails to ride, and you can connect up to the East side of the Trail if you stay next to the fence by the Highway. East Side - A nice moderate ride next to the river. Several side trails that takes you to some pretty nice down hill runs. Not a good as the West side of the trail, but it also doesn't have a house on it yet. This trail has a lot of diffrent riding conditions. Offers a great variety to the ride.

Recommended Route:
Follow Both of the Directions above.. However, the west side is being developed, and we have lost a lot of the trails since last week.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Good trails, Nice Rides, Too Bad it is being developed. Blanket Creek.

Summary:
Lots of fast, rocky single and double track. Much mud even a week after rain. Some fire roads. Look out for motorcycles and ATVs.

Recommended Route:
DO NOT FOLLOW THE ABOVE DIRECTIONS TO THE TRAILHEAD. You will be tresspassing. This side of the river is closed to all recreational riding. Go to exit #11, turn right and then turn right again at the church. Follow this road till you see dirt. These trails are accessible if you don't mind wading across the river at the site of the old mill (look for that large flat concrete slab - cross the river there, only knee deep in July). If you see Woodstock's Finest while you are riding the "Forbidden Land," tell him/her that there are no signs, so you didn't know.

Blankets creek??
