2 options, short course- tight, twisting singletrack, with lots of elevation changes (this is the layout used for the Chainbuster Challenge MTB race), long course- singletrack and fireroads, fast, feeds into short course, lot of wildlife, deer, wild turkeys, but no bear seen yet. Nice bike shop at start/finish with porch and rockers for after the ride.
Summary: This trail is a lot of fun for the technical singletrack fan. Didn't have any difficulty finding my way around until the end. (takes you right through someone's yard), but it turned out I was almost at the end anyway. I clocked just over 7 mi. once around. Nice bridges over the boggy stuff, and seemingly pretty well drained compared to Yellow River, although obviously not as crowded (a plus). Hooked up with a local for my second lap, and had a much easier time of it, although a certain rock garden seemed to get the best of me both times. Very tight twisties through pine forests were challenging to ride quickly , but good practice. Thanks for the tour Jerry!
Recommended Route: I went clockwise, starting at the racetrack, but it looks fun either way.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Yellow River(creek side), Blanket's Creek(in a drought), Mansell, Bull Mountain

Summary: Recently revisited this trail for the first time in'03. The changes are numerous and welcomed. I am a clydesdale and agree w/ an earlier review about not really being able to stretch your legs here. I enjoyed the new singletrack and look forward to making my annual trip to these trails. Thanks to whoever put all the sweat and tears into improving these trails and keep up the good work. Look forward to turning my 12 year old, 72 pound, single track eating machine of a son, loose on these new trails. He sure to put a hurtin' on the beginner class on this course.
Recommended Route: counter clock wise
Other recommended trails in the same area: Conyers horse park, McIntosh reserve, and of course Blankets Creek.

Ridden Trail: Ridden Once
Reviewed by: Terry
, from Conyers, GA
Summary: This was a fun ride. It has many rutted, rocky and rooty climbs and downhills. There is some new terrain they have added that I didn't like as much. It was so tight that you could not manuever without stopping to work your handle bars between pine tree saplings. For being so near the Olympic Trail in Conyers, this trail's personality was dramatically different. Not better or worse, just different. The trail is much tighter, with more numerous but less lengthy climbs. There is nowhere that you could really open up and fly. Just about the time you get rolling, a tight turn and hard braking brings you back into the low single digits. Also didn't care for the screaming go-carts at the top of all the climbs. Al has put in a track and every climb seems to bring you within feet of it. The noise really detracts from your outdoor experience.
Recommended Route: Not sure, I only clocked 5 miles (out of 8) and in talking to one of the designers I seemed not to have missed anything. Maybe my computer was off???
Other recommended trails in the same area: Olympic Course in Conyers or Yellow River
