Ridden Trail: Once a week

Weekend Warrior Summary: I went to this trail to see what else is near my home. I leave in EAV, East Atlanta Village, and usually go to the Horse Park or drive down to Dausset Trails. The ride is pretty good but no a lot of areas for speed or technical maneuvers, unless I missed something, but overall not bad for a beginner to intermediate ride. Recommended Route: Follow the orange arrows. Other recommended trails in the same area: International Horse Park, Conyers

Cross Country Rider Summary: Thanks to some hard work from the Southern Crescent chapter of SORBA these trails are once again in good shape. There are over 6 miles of marked single track with a few short but steep climbs. This is a great beginner to intermediate trail thats close to Atlanta. Recommended Route: Follow the arrows. Other recommended trails in the same area: Dauset in Jackson and the Horse Park in Conyers

Ridden Trail: Every few months

Weekend Warrior Summary: I wish we could merge forums ( this one also applies to this trail)... at least it's not as bad as the 4 separate threads for the GHIP Olympic MTB Trail in Conyers...
I rode it again on March 25... Big thanks to the person who connected the trails near the tennis court parking lot! It's much more ridable now. And, my offer still stands to help anyone who wants to take on repairing and adding to the west and south of the tennis courts.
I rode the east side of the trails, too. They're pretty slippery, what with not being heavily used and having a load of leaves over pine straw. There are a handful of downed trees blocking the trails. And, there's some obvious flood fallout, though it hasn't really impacted the ridability of the trails. It just washed a lot of leaves and some light debris to the bottom of the dip.
With a few of weekends of clearing, building and chainsawing, we really could restore much of what the senior center and tennis courts claimed. Recommended Route: Find what looks like a trail, and ride it. Other recommended trails in the same area: Dauset Trails Nature Center

Cross Country Rider Summary: I just rode this last Sunday, and it's kind of a mess with the senior center construction. First, I'm still indebted to the trail builders and maintainers, particularly for not giving up after the tennis courts were built (and given that they're probably the builders of 138 Trails I & II, which still rank as #1 and #2 in my list).
With that said, I think I can re-work most of my old favorite route into what's left. I'll be back, and I'll be clearing the spider webs for the next rider. (seriously, I had a mostly-complete web snagged between my left grip and frame with the spider and prey still in it for about half a mile... no, I didn't kill the spider... bad mojo!)
Once the senior center is done, I'd be glad to volunteer to reconnect that part of the trail to complete the loop again. Heck, there's still areas for new trails (138 II was a masterpiece of trail maximization in a small area). And, the super-sketchy singletrack along the pond is still intact along with the trail on the other side of the road! Recommended Route: Huh... your mileage will vary...
From the parking lot, ride out and hit the trail on the east side of the double-lane road. Head north and loop back south for a surprisingly good singletrack descent. Go back across to the parking lot, enter trail and take the advanced routes. Once you get to the west side of the pond, you're on your own.

, from Jonesboro Summary: These trails did not get much use while 17 tennis courts were being constructed. However, we have reconnected the trails and made improvements. The Trails are back for everyone to enjoy! We have easy trails to technical trails. Come ride, picnic, and swim at the beach! Recommended Route: There is trail map at trailhead. Go to http://www.geocities.com/Yosemite/Trails/7930/ to get a map of the trails you can print out. Other recommended trails in the same area: Yellow River near Stone Mountain and Dauset Trails in Jackson.
