Cross Country Rider Summary: This trail system has received some much needed TLC over the last few weeks and is clear of all debris and marked really well.
Local bike club (OMBA) is going to make every effort to schedule regular work days in an effort to keep the place ridable and enjoyable for everyone who wants to give it a go..
Trail has a ton of elevation with close to 500 feet of ascent in 5 miles.Very few sections to relax.Plan on getting in a really good work out when you ride.Several sandy spots so be careful. Recommended Route: Follow the orange/red arrows Other recommended trails in the same area: Thomson trails and also the childrens home(aka "the pig trail")both trails located in Macon as well.

Weekend Warrior Summary: I was out there last month on vacation to see the inlaws, and had to find someplace to ride, this trail would be good if it was kept up,there is one good climb by the powerlines, and a couple of other nice parts, right off the powerlines, but that was about it..There were some signs and arrows and from a recent race(i guess)that really didnt lead anywhere..The BMX track was kinda a hoot to ride tho.. Other recommended trails in the same area: Arrowhead Park

Cross Country Rider Summary: I have been riding for 20 years and am from Colorado. I am not an expert Mt. Biker, but I think I know a few things about it. If your a local and this is all you have.... well.... OK. If your in town visiting and need a place to ride, head to another trail. Flow is choppy, nothing technical about this trail, and I am not sure where the 5.5 miles are, as I could only find about 3. Maybe it was all the tape left over from some race that got me all confused.

Racer Summary: Just a quick note to let folks know that East Macon is back in business. The numerous downed trees have been cleared, the weeds have been cut back and the trail has been blow off. There are a couple of spots that need rerouted and we're working on those. East Macon is a wonderful trail everyone can ride; from the casual rider to the weekend warrior - it gets harder the faster you go and is always a great cardio workout. Recommended Route: The "race" direction starts at the swing sets - look left/go left on the trail at the pavillion instead of down the obvious double track, I put up some temporary paper arrows to help new folks follow to course. Other recommended trails in the same area: Dauset Trail, LH Thomson, Georgia Children's Home (AKA the Pig Trail)

Cross Country Rider Summary: I tried to ride this trail last Friday and it was totally messed up. It is in dire need of maintenance. There were grown up weeds, thorns, and some washed out trees in the way. It was a disaster. Unfortunately this seems like it would be a nice trail if it were groomed. If this trail gets groomed, and marked I feel it would be one of the best trails in the area. There's also a BMX track nearby that would be really cool to ride as well, but unfortunately no one has taken care of that either. If anyone knows how to get in touch of P.O.W.E.R. which is supposed to be the group who maintains this trail, please let them know. If they need help I will be more than willing to give days of my man power to get it fixed. All they have to do is notify everyone in the area ubout a clean up schedule Recommended Route: None until it gets fixed Other recommended trails in the same area: L.H. Thomson
