Summary:
Mostly an area for dirt bikes and ATVs, but they have a couple trails just for mountain bikes. You can ride on any trail really. One of the mountain bike only ones is a race course for an upcoming triathalon. It is about 15 miles total. Not bad in terms of climbs or descents, but several major obstacles-One drop off a 6 foot cliff into a ravine, a water crossing, and a hill that was so steep and muddy that we couldn't push our bikes up. (Had to carry them and climb up using trees for support.) Overall, it is a lot of fun. They do charge you 15$ a day to ride and you have to watch out for the motor bikes and ATVs at some intersections. I would recommend it. We did, however, get the impression that they don't get many mountiain bikers there.

Summary:
I've read about this place before so I decided to give them a call. I asked the person who answered if they had any mountain bike trails. He told me that they have 2. One is 15 miles long and the other is 14 and more advanced.
Great !!! I'll be there soon. *click* I made the 1.5 hour drive out there today to see what all the fuss is about. When I got to the registration area there were rednecks on ATVs everywhere. ... no big deal, I knew that it was mostly an ATV and Dirt Bike thing before I got there. I wandered around a bit until I found the bar/registration desk (really... complete with alcohol). I asked where the mountain bike Trail head was. The lady behind the counter looked at me like I was retarded. She said "I'm not sure, no one has ever asked me that. Lemme go find out." A few minutes later a rather large fellow came in and walked up to me. He told me that all the trails were really muddy since it rained 3 days ago. He told me that the trails I was looking for were designated for dirt bike and mountain bikes and that long sections of the trails were under about a foot of mud. He offered to take me to a section of trail that 'should' be dry. I asked him how long the trail was and his reply was "oh, about 2 and a half miles". I politely declined, went back to the car and left. It appears that they do have mountain bike specific trails in development right now according to their web site. Not sure when they'll be finished. Do yourself a favor find some place else to ride until they open the mtb only trails. You might enjoy this place if your bike has a motor on it and 4" wide knobbies.

Summary:
This is a GREAT place to ride!!! Its full of lots of really cool obstacles that you can choose to ride or carry around... but why would you want to carry around? Great for all levels of riders!!!!! This is be the 2nd location for the FIRST EVER Xterra Races in Georgia on September 6. Sign up early via Active.com cause its going to sell out early!!!! This guy is working with SORBA on building LOTS of additional trails. He's working with a group to start holding some mtn. biking series. Spread the word cause this guy will build if we will come!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary:
I see no one else has posted about this place. MAN if you have never been there I don't know what you are waiting on. This place has more trail mileage of all types than just about all other decent riding areas COMBINED. I stayed there 3 days a couple of weeks ago and didn't see the same trail the whole time. Uni-directional trails, creek crossings, smooth stuff, difficult stuff, you name it, it's there. It's only about 30 miles south of Athens too for all you gear-heads. The trails are so huge you don't even care that they have other vehicles out there. They are ONE-WAY trails! I'm telling you, you are missing it if you haven't been. I heard they are going to have a mountain bike triathalon there later this year. COOL! They want the MTB'ers to come out there to give them some feedback on what they want. This isn't some goons property, this is a real-live outdoorsman's resort! http://www.durhamtown.com says it all.

Summary:
Amazing place for all kinds of outdoors activities. Rent a cabin or get a tent site or bring your RV and hook it up. Restaurant has great food. Bike wash. Paintball. Trail riding, ATV rentals. So many trails you couldn't see them all in a week. Trails for all skill levels. This is a real place. Not a hoax. See their website for info and call the lodge.
