Ridden Trail: Every few months

, from Palmetto, GA 30268 Summary: To start with only ride these trails when it is dry and has been dry for a long time. When the area is wet I would give it a 1 but I am giving it a dry rating. There are trails on both sides of the road. There are two types of trails in this area wide and flat and technical horse trails. To get to the best trails fallow the dirt road that goes past the parking area. Go until there is a foot bridge and trail the trail on the right just to the other side of the bridge. Once in the big field go to the far end and look for a small trail that may have a sign with an H on it. Follow this trail untill you cross the big creek. From here the trail makes a circle but it is best to go right up the hill. This trail leads to the best water fall in the area. There are many ATV trails out side of park property that can be riden, but it is best to stay off of them, trust me. Recommended Route: The other route is for people coming from Atlanta. To get to this area from south of Atlanta(Newnan)exit I-85 at exit 56. Go towards Palmetto and turn right onto Hwy29. Go into town of Palmetto, and turn left at red light in center of town and stay to the left until you get to Hutcheson Fy RD and bear right. Go less than 2 miles and turn right onto Cochran Mill Road. You will see the park after a few miles into the middle of no where. Other recommended trails in the same area: There are no other legal trails in this area

, from Atlanta, GA Summary: After posting my review, I did a search for CMP. The top item was an article showing that the local municipalities were campaigning to use 350 acres of this area for a reservoir. Classic development ignorance in action. Anyway, go ride. For tomorrow, you might not be able to. Recommended Route: Updated directions:From Atlanta: I-85 South to Exit 69 (Old National/South Fulton Parkway). Stay left and follow South Fulton Pkwy. approximately 15 miles until it ends. Turn right onto Rivertown Road. Follow Rivertown about 2 miles to first stop sign. Turn left onto Cochran Mill Road. The Park is 1000 yards on the right.
