Chase Street

Very, Very winding singletrack, in many places you are within a few feet of the trai you rode on 10 minutes before, a lot of trail in a little area. Some fun stuff like an old diving board and some steel catwalk grating over a ditch. If you ride it right, there is some road riding (2-3 miles) and this is a good loop, otherwise it's an out and back to a railroad switching yard.

Summary:
i live 2 blocks from this trail and hardly ever ride it.

why?

because it's too short to be ridden on its own if you are an intermediate/advanced rider, and too technical if you are a beginner.

i use it when i've just put a new part on my bike and want to field test it real quick.

it's not a bad trail, it's quite fun in places, but if i'm gonna get all geared up to ride, i want to ride for more than 30 minutes.

now if we could somehow connect chase st with the 441 trails, we'd be onto something...

Summary:
Rode this on the 8th of March, beware of major raw sewage spill at the trail down by the creek (section closest to Chase Street). Avoid if you value your health, just cut over to another trail or turn around. You can't really walk around it. Ride through it if you're into raw shit on your tires.

Recommended Route:
environmental warning!

Reviewed by: Ben , from Athens,GA ->Laurel, MD

Summary:
The whole thing is back and forth on the slope between the dirt road and the creek. Lots of sharp switchbacks and angled rooty trail. Can't get to much speed. No downhill to speak of. Only go there if you find Mitchell Bridge trails to strenuous. They are much better.

Recommended Route:
Another way in is down the gravel road by the r/r tracks beginning at Old Jefferson Hwy. near the country club. The gravel road leads to a trailhead by the overpass.
