Weekend Warrior Summary: In response to the above summary, the trail entrance has now been paved, the gate is usually open, and some sort of horse barrel racing ring was built at the top in the parking lot. The only sign for the trail entrance is a bent up stop sign.
The trails are pretty nice, although it looks like they get mostly horse traffic. Overall pretty nice. they have lots of room for more trails, and it looks like they started two more fire trails further down the road, but havnt gone much past that. Other recommended trails in the same area: Flat rock park in Columbus

Ridden Trail: Once a week

Weekend Warrior Summary: Although short, these trails offer enough intersetions to make up longer routes. Most trail sections are double wide with some single track mixed in and one central narrow dirt road. Good mix of flat and hills.
It is currently hard to locate the parking area as it is not officially marked. The parking is about 1/4 mile east of the main park entrance on Hwy 109 (Roanoke Rd). It is a gated gravel road and you park at the gate but do not block the gate.
Future plans look promising to extend these trails and double the length. Hopefulley by spring/summer 2007. Official marking and trail head are also in the works.
Recommended Route: All trails are two way traffic so please pay attention.
