Weekend Warrior Summary: This great trail is an asset to the Stonewall Falls trail are. The difficulty level is moderate, so it will be difficult for the occasional biker and beginner.
The trail has been called the roller coaster ride due to the smooth quick ascends, turns, descends, etc. There are some challenging uphills and some fast downhill. Near the end, the trail travels alongside Stonewall Creek in the old railroad bed. Then it connects to the gravel road where you may turn left to visit the waterfalls at 200 yards prior to returning to the parking area, or turn right and return to the parking lot at 200 yards. Recommended Route: The trailhead starts on the USFS road just prior to the parking lot on the left (app. 100 yards from parking lot). It is aproximately 50 yards prior to the T-interstion on the left side of the road as you drove in. Other recommended trails in the same area: The 2007 Stonewall Falls Loop is accessed from the sampe parking lot. It is 10.5 miles of single-track and only .5 miles of double-track.
Jack Rabbit Trails just north of Hiawassee, Georgia(app. 30 miles west of Stonewall Falls). There are numerous single-track trails. Some are easy; others are moderate, and moderate-to-difficult. A great place to mountain bike. The White & yellow loops are perfect for the beginner.
Isaqueena Trails in Clemson, SC. There are numerous trails in this area, and I like them all. Some are narrow, with quick tight turns, fast downhills, and somewhat technical. This is one of my favorite places to ride.

Cross Country Rider Summary: This trail is fun, but short @ about 4.5 miles. Good aerobic climb and tight turns highlight this trail. Ride it back to back for a decent workout. Recommended Route: Same as below Other recommended trails in the same area: Avoid Stonewall Falls trail in the same area- it is ruined!

, from Atlanta, GA Summary: My husband I rode this trail over Labor Day weekend 2002 and liked it lots. This trail offers some leg-burning climbs and a fast smooth decent. We saw some giant Turkey Vultures munching on a stinking dead something, they were an eyeful. If youre going out to ride Stonewall Falls Loop, ride White Twister first for a nice warm-up. Recommended Route: Park at Stonewall Falls Trailhead then ride back up the road you came in on. At mile 0.1 turn right on White Twister Trail (white blaze.) Other recommended trails in the same area: Stonewall Falls, Wildcat Loop

, from Toccoa, GA. Summary: This trail is new and still has a few "bad" spots, but the local bikers are quickly eliminating them. The trail starts thru laurel thickets and then changes into woods that are more open. After about 1/2 mile the "Twister" portion starts taking effect with multiple 150 to 180 degree turns to be taken in a row. At about the 1.1/2 mile mark the climbing sections begin and a few places will test both lungs and legs up to the 2 mile mark. At the top of this ridge begins a 1/2 mile downhill section that ends at the Stonewall Creek and "Dump Creek" intersection. After crossing the small bridge on "Dump Creek" you will go thru an area of ferns and on up to "Root Ridge" and back down to Stonewall Creek and then follow an old small gauge railroad bed along the creek. Slow down and enjoy this section of large trees, the rushing creek, and easy peddling. When the trail reaches the road, turn right to return to the parking lot or left to go to Stonewall Falls. The trail is about 4.1/4 miles long and is best suited to advanced beginners and intermediate riders. Please note that primitive camping is allowed in the waterfall area and the USFS has a 2 dollar parking fee for this area. Recommended Route: From the Stonewall biking parking lot, go downhill to the Y, turn left and go 50 yards to the trailhead on the right side of the road. This trail is best when done counterclockwise. Other recommended trails in the same area: The Stonewall Trail that starts from the same parking lot as White Twister and also the Tallulah Gorge Trail in the Tallulah Gorge State Park about 7 or 8 miles south of Stonewall on 441/23.
