Cross Country Rider Summary: For best results see the North West Georgia SORBA web site. They have worked very hard to create these trails and make them one of the best rides in Georgia. On their site they have maps and directions and elevation profiles. Disregard the elevation profiles at your own peril. No. Just kidding. There are great climbs on these but they are part of the fun. Go. Do what you can and then drink a beer. Recommended Route: The South section has more options and is less challenging than the North section. There are a couple of forest service roads and trail choices that I don't know. Yesterday, we rode an out and back from the Pinhoti Trial Parking on Hwy #136. We drove up I-75 to #136 and turned right off of the high way. After about 11 miles we got to the parking where we started. We just did an out and back on both trails for a total of 17 miles in about 2:38. I know we didn't win the time trial but we did drink a beer. Woo hoo. Other recommended trails in the same area: See the NWGA SORBA site for more directions.
