Ridden Trail: Please Select
| |
Reviewed by: Grant
, from Macon Summary: A church which had been meeting in the movie theater on the other side of I-475 from the trail purchased the land housing the trail for the purpose of constructing it's new building. So, yeah, everyone here in town agrees that Hephzibah is closed for real. Don't let that dissuade you from trying any of our other local trails, though. Recommended Route: None. It is closed. Other recommended trails in the same area: East Macon Park,Georgia Children's Home and Thomson Trails in Macon. Dauset Trails near Indian Springs Park near Jackson.

Ridden Trail: Once a month

, from Macon, Ga Summary: This is the fourth trail I've found in Macon. I agree with the other posts, this trail is comprised of many short loops. Not a lot of exhausting climbs, but some good enough to provide some fast and somewhat technical downhills. It's a great trail if you don't have all day to ride or just want to have fun without a huge workout. There's a fair amount of roots, stumps and even some rock outcroppings in the trail but not a lot of off camber stuff. I recommend this trail to anyone who has at least 10 hours of single track under their belt. Of course, be careful and watch out for the unexpected.
Recommended Route: After parking at bridge, head downhill toward the interstate. Take any loop from there. Other recommended trails in the same area: For longer trails: Macon East and Georgia Children's home. For more technical and better workout: Most trails in area, and particularly Milledgeville (just south of High School). Forget Macon North...

, from GA Summary: its fun, easy to get lost, but fun overall. the trails overgrown a bit in places. (did i mention that it's easy to get lost!) Recommended Route: Strait down the middle and turn right anf follow the trail around to the start and take the trail to the left and you will find your self atthe main trail, take the main trail fast from here and there is a small fun jump at the end, watch out for the logs. Other recommended trails in the same area: havent riden any.

, from League City, TX Summary: What the hell is wrong with you folks in Macon? How come no other trail reviews in GA have all this senseless bickering and shit? Damn. Looks like I'll never find a decent trail to ride in Georgia. Might as well leave my mountain bike at home and take my roadie. Recommended Route: Not in Macon, that's for sure. Other recommended trails in the same area: This shit is stupid.
