very fast. its not very technical at all. but offers alot of speed. great for a beginner to learn to ride off road, great for a racer to go fast through the woods. There are only a few up/down hills, and alot of sand. Its alot of fun.

Summary:
This trail is essentially a cruiser. Nothing technical, just lots and lots of sand and periodic sinkholes. It's fast but quite flat. Theres a lot of twists and turns but if you're looking for something challenging I would not recommend this route. You can put in a good 21+ miles pretty quickly, so that's a definite plus. It would probably be a good XC training trail as well.

Recommended Route:
Both directions

Other recommended trails in the same area:
To me the best trails in Tallahassee are the Cadillac trail, Loblolly and Magnolia trails (all in or near Tom Brown park).

Summary:
i hadn't been to munson in a while, because, like some other reviewers stated, who also obviously haven't been in a while, it was pretty boring. long trail with lots of sand and not even technical....but holy crap, apparently some one or ones came in and totally revamped the whole thing. its amazing. like someone before me said, its "an orange roller coaster". the sand is in some spots but now it offers a quick break from the dense orange clay that replaced most of it. its fast, swoopy, sometimes scary even if you really get going and then find yourself squeezing between trees at full speed. a new portion called the "luge" shouldn't be missed, its an elevated dragon tail that will bite you if youre too fast without full concentration. DO NOT MISS THIS TRAIL

Recommended Route:
both directions

this one is probably the best in tally now, imo, but redbug, overstreet and anything near tom brown are great

Summary:
This trail used to be a consolation trail for me when I worked in Woodville. It was better than not riding the trails at all. I mean we are spolied in Tally with such great rides like the Fern Trail (Not as good as it used to be)/Magnolia Trail/Cadillac Trail Connection (the latter two of the best trails in town) and Lake Overstreet/Redbug. I could get a good ride, get outside and get some exercise if I couldn't make it to one of my favorites. ThenTrail Dynamics redid the trail, covering most of the sandy, slow you down sand with hard-packed orange dirt raied off the ground. You can haul on these trails. It is almost like taking the best of the road and the best of trails. You can ride fast, but you have banked trails, ups and downs and ins and outs. It is a nice compliment to the other trails in town.

Recommended Route:
Go to the south side of town via Capital Circle. You can approach from either side of town to Woodville Highway. Pull into the parking lot just south of Capital Circle on the right side of the road. Park there. The St. Marks Trailhead starts there as well.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Magnolia Trail and Cadillac Trail best access to both through Tom Brown Park. Lake Overstreet/Maclay and Redbug across the street.

Summary:
Much improved over what was previously described. It's now an orange rollercoaster through the pine forest. Trail Dynamics has done a great job of making this trail worth visiting. Combining this trail with Tom Brown makes Tallahassee a destination. Great aerobic workout because you want to go fast no matter how tired you are. Not very technical but lots of rollers and banked turns.

Recommended Route:
Just follow the orange. There is still more work being done so it will only get better.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Tom Brown

Summary:
This trail is very sandy, and very boring. It has had a prescribed forest burn in the recent months. It is very boring landscape. If you are looking for actions or excitement go to Tom Brown Park. This ride is pretty good for exercise because the sand means you are constantly pedaling to keep momentum. Go somewhere else.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Magnolia, Tom Brown, Redbug
