Flat eigth mile loop or figure eight trail. Three miles to the west is paved road.
From rangers station, it's about a 5 mile loop on all single track and dirt roads. Can get sandy and a bit nasty in area where controlled burns on north east side of five mile loop, due to ranger vehicular traffic.
Plenty of wide open spaces through slash pines and heavy undergrowth.
Can beat almost all of the paved roadway by returning from east side on county dirt road to ranger station. Entrance fee charged.
Wildlife: armadillos, alligators, cottonmouth snake and a frog (held in snakes mouth)
