The Beast of Burden trail is located on Suwannee River Water Management District land at Little Shoals in White Springs, FL. The trail was built and is maintained by volunteers from the Suwannee Bicycle Association.

This 6 mile intermediate trail weaves through palmetto brush along the Suwannee river, runs though a creek, and through pine forest. It flows better clockwise.

This trail can be connected to Gar Pond trail by going under the train bridge as well as the US 41 bridge.

Summary:
The Beast of Burden trail is located on Suwannee River Water Management District land at Little Shoals in White Springs, FL. The trail was built and is maintained by volunteers from the Suwannee Bicycle Association.

This 6 mile intermediate trail weaves through palmetto brush along the Suwannee river, runs though Falling creek, and through pine forest. It flows better clockwise.

This trail can be connected to Gar Pond trail by going under the train bridge as well as the US 41 bridge.

Recommended Route:
Start at Gar pond and come out at the cypress knees and turn left go under the 41 bridge and cut into the Beast trail on the other side, It will meander around and dump you back on the little shoals road. There is a great Strava segment on the Lollipop loop known as falling creek. 1.2 mile lap.
