Ridden Trail: Once a week

Cross Country Rider Summary: Its a good nature trail. No jumps and bridges, but plenty of roots to launch off of. Stick to the ouside hiking loop and away from the horse trails and fire roads. Hikers mainly stick to the front of the park, so sharing the trail is not a problem. There are a few good spots to recharge on the river. Make sure you get a Trail Guide from the gate, there are a lot of fun side trails too. Costs $3-5 dollars to get in, but worth it. Restrooms and non-potable water at Sand Lake Trail Head. Recommended Route: Start and Sand Lake and head NE to post #33. Go East along the East-West Trail to post #10, then head North to #19. Head through the deep woods (30min) to #20. From there head South to Big Buck Camp and maybe Otter Camp, then make your way home along the Root Highway. (you'll see). Remember stay on the hiking and bike trail, and off the Horse Trail, to much sugar sand.
