Weekend Warrior Summary: Very quick and short trail along what used to me the Eastern entry into Marco Island. Not much of a mountain bike trail but a nice ride under a canopy. Watch out for rattlesnakes as the last time I rode I saw a healthy one off the side of the trail. Recommended Route: US 41 4 miles east of CR 951 and 1/2 mile west of CR 92. Trail sign is hard to see but its just to the west side of creek on south side of US 41. Other recommended trails in the same area: None

Ridden Trail: Every few months

Cross Country Rider Summary: While most of the path is perfectly flat double track on a dirt road loop, the 35 percent that is single track takes a nice weaving path through woods. Total distance 3.5 miles.
The entire trail is under a high and pretty canopy. During the wet summer months you will become eaten alive by those nasty Everglades bugs.
There was some long grass on most recent trip in November, but it only added to the experience.
Less than 20 miles east of Naples on the Tamiami Trail (US 41). Go past the trail head and pay park admission. The rangers want to keep track of you in case the bugs carry you away.
This park is best known for its boating.
Wildlife: Two 18 inch gators floating five feet from the path with Momma gator (an eight footer) watching from 20 feet away. Also saw osprey. Other recommended trails in the same area: Estero Bay State Buffer Preserve, Caloosahatchee Regional Park

Weekend Warrior Summary: The descpription of this trail tells the story. It is nothing special, but it is a decent sized loop of offroad riding with very little sand. That makes it worth mentioning for locals in the Naples area.
