Weekend Warrior Summary: After the park employee gave us directions on how to find the trailhead, my son and I found the trails to be: not very well marked, but kind of enjoyable once we found our way. They are all EASY trails, with only one good descent/ascent combo thru a drainage ditch; and then a bit of a challenge over an 'octopus' of a saw palmetto at MM2.9. Otherwise, it was just a good way to work up a sweat on our way back from Santos (awesome!!) Recommended Route: Start behind Pavilion #7, we wound up ending at gate on dirt road alongside I95. Don't know if that was the right way or not - as I said, not well marked trails. Altought in defense, it appears there has been some bulldozer work going on lately that might have screwed up miles of previous trails (????) We certainly did NOT see 7.5 miles of trails. We got in 3.5 miles. Other recommended trails in the same area: Pinehurst, Dyer Road, Jonathan Dickinson

Weekend Warrior Summary: Rode the trails a couple days ago. The trail markers are being put up all the time. Fun trails with just a few technical parts. Stay away if has rained in the last few days. Trails next to river are a virtual mud pit still. Maybe they will dry out by Christmas. Make sure you take water! Local club doing a great job adding trails. Recommended Route: anythung that looks inviting. Can't get lost. You'll eventualy hit one of the double track roads. Other recommended trails in the same area: Jonathan Dickinson, if you are adventourous.

Cross Country Rider Summary: The Airborne crew and a few devoted hard working volunteers have taken the Halpat trail and turned it into a fun and worthwhile riding trail. It has some diversity and recently has had legal additions added. the single track has not been measured yet but I have ridden over 10 miles looping the trail and never rode the same trail twice. The only problem with Halpat is there are currently no signs, this is a Martin County problem, the County is in a budget crunch so the sings will not be in place till September 2007 with that said for the visiting rider it is best to set up a tour ride with one of the airborne folks so you can get the whole Halpat experience. With the proximity to I-95 it is worth a ride if you are passing by. The park also has facilities hiking trails, baseball, soccer, pavilions with grills, ect. which also make it a great family spot. Recommended Route: get with on of these nice folks who are always looking for an excuse to ride......
http://www.airbornemtb.org/ Other recommended trails in the same area: Dyer, Ft. Pierce, 49th Street, JD in 10 to 15 years when the trees grow back.

Cross Country Rider Summary: This trail is part single track and mostly dirt roads. Some of the trail is in shade, the area is mosly flat. The single track part of trail is good, but you have to carry your bike over most bridges. The double track dirt road part to the west is in the sun,and a boring ride.If the double was changed to single,it would be a nice trail, but until that happens, this trail is not much fun. Recommended Route: Go to website above. The trail is very hard to follow,as there few direction signs. Other recommended trails in the same area: Camp Murphy,Dyer, and Pinehurst
