Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

Weekend Warrior Summary: The single track on Lake Overstreet trails basically has 3 loops: the West Loop; the East Loop and the North Loop. I am very much a beginner and thoroughly enjoyed the West Loop for 2 rounds today. The West Loop had very slight graduations incline and decline. It's not technical but is littered with roots. Decided to try the North Loop and realized I was way over my head. There were some steep inclines/declines that were not smooth going with some tight switchbacks at the bottom in a couple of places. There was even a couple of times where I had to walk my bike through a couple of trees because the handlebars wouldn't fit through. Thought I was crazy about this but when walking through I had to snake my bike through. There was also some thick vines hanging across the trail that barely cleared my handle bars. The multi-use trail was easy going and offered some resting areas as well as a water fountain and dog water bowl chained to the fountain. Recommended Route: I entered from the Forest Meadows cross walk located on Meridian Rd. The entrance fee is now $2.00 despite everything saying entrance fee is $1.00.At this location turn left on the multi-use trail and almost immediately switch back to the right behind a clump of bushes to pick-up the single track bike trail. Other recommended trails in the same area: Tom Brown with the K9 loop, Ravine Loop and Gun Range loop. You can also pick up the Lake Heritage Trail and Cadillac trail from Tom Brown Park
