Saga Bay

This is an area that we have been riding on and of at over he last 20 years or so. The land is owned by the county and abutts a natural area preserve, salt marsh (lots of bug, bring your off!). The main trail is around a lake, there are apartments on the north and west shores of the lake. Its an old road with several other roads branching off that lead out to the bay. This is virgin territory and sees little use. Its fairly clean by Miami standards. There is alot of terrain that is simialr to Oleta. It would be a nice area for the county to designate as a atb park. There are hills and pleanty of room to make new trails by clearing non-native vegatation. Check it out for yourself sometime and let me know what you think. I'll get a few pictures in the next week to upload.

Summary:
Well its difficult to say.It does have a variety of skill levels but the problem is that the place is neglected. I went about 3 months ago and it really wasn't the best experience. I left with a slow leaking flat, fishing line rapped around my cog, poked in multiple places by dryed hanging branches and a bruised spirit. Its a shame the place is perfectly located
If your hard core with nothing to loose this is you place. If you have a love for the sport like I do and enjoy a good and well maintained trail that kicks your ass and makes you cry out for your mom but doesn't want to kill you in the proccess don't go here.
