Ridden Trail: Once a week

Weekend Warrior Summary: The trails have recently been marked. Big thanks for that!
The red trail is an outside loop around a number of smaller trails. Under the canopy of trees the trail becomes more technical; lots of roots.
The blue trail comes off the red trail and takes you to a small bridge, followed by a creek with no bridge. Prepare to get a little wet. The trail takes you further south towards Malabar Rd. It's less technical, and leaves you in some soft fire lanes.
The ride gets better after a rain since the sugar sand hardens up a little. Recommended Route: Park at the rec center and head east on Port Malabar Road. The trail head is after the bridge across Turkey Creek. There's a nice sign marking the trail head. Other recommended trails in the same area: South Shore (Fruit) Trail

Weekend Warrior Summary: Looks like it has been awhile since someone posted a review on this trail. The trail is in great shape and lengths can vary from 1 to 8 or so miles depending on which trails you take after Brook Hollow. This trail definitely will beat you down but it is fun. Just wish it was more flowing. Sugar sand makes for an aerobic workout for sure. Have fun and take plenty of water. Lots of technical climbs over roots and logs. Recommended Route: Park at Palm Bay Recreation center. Ride east on Port Malabar (southside) and look for entrance right after the bridge over Turkey Creek. There is mountain bike sign posted there. Other recommended trails in the same area: South shore trail, Santos, St. Sebastian River State Park.

Weekend Warrior Summary: Lots of single track located right in town... I had no idea there was such a nice place to ride so close by. Lots of tight twisty single track, with lots of tree roots, logs and log piles. Its not the most technical place ive ridden, but it was a suprise how technical it was. Good mix of difficulty, and fun, not one of those trails that is more work than fun. Highly recommend if you are in the area. Recommended Route: To get here from Melbourne I took Babcock Street south to Palm Bay, when you get to Port Malabar Blvd to east (left). Go about a mile or two and you will see the Palm Bay community center. Park your car here (skatepark, turkey creek office etc. all located here). Go back onto Port Malabar and keep heading east for another .5 miles or so. There is a small bridge over the canal, immediately after the bridge look to your right, the trail starts right at the sidewalk. Take this trail, and figure out where to ride from here. I did about 4 miles, going right at each split in the trail, and then headed back before it got dark. Other recommended trails in the same area: Wickham Park.

Weekend Warrior Summary: As of August 30th, the second half of the trail is opened up. Whoever cleared out the area left 1 log blocking the path, but after hopping it you're home free. This section opens up a large loop, roughly 2 miles, making this a solid 3-4 mile course round trip.
Second section is considerably more advanced. Definitely need to choose your lines well, or you'll end up in a creek (or with a broken rear brake and pedal, like myself)
