Weekend Warrior Summary: Excellent Cardio work out!!! Fire Roads make it a bit of a challenge. Pretty much flat for the most part. Encounter some alligators, iguanas, snakes, bobcats and birds with 6 to 7 feet wingspans along the way (don't worry gators are in the water, iguanas hardly move, bobcats runaway and the snakes you won't see till you bike in the southern region like Southern Glade trail, but you'll see them way before you're in close distance!!) One or two trick hills along the way but nothing big. Great alternative for MT bikers living in kendall or just south dade who usually go up to Markham or Oleta. As always bring a repair kit(even though I've never had to repair my tire) and water. I usually never stop, just one or two minutes...wait longer and the bugs start coming!! Keep the Cardio up by riding 3 to 4 times a week and then head up to the Big trails on the weekend!! Try to bike early in the morning or a few hours before sunset. I rate this trail a 4, because this is just one of many trails in the Greenway Network, totaling to 194 miles. All of the trails connect. For starters go out about 10 miles and then back 10. Increase each time you go. Maybe one day we can have a group going out there into the farther regions on the trails!! Here's a map to give you an idea. http://www.tacketc.com/sftrd/trails/big_map.html
