Alot of interlocking trails. There is all sort of riding, wooded, sandy, coral, roots, mud, and gravel. Oh yeah I thought I might tell you there is also four steep drop offs that are cool. And if you bring your fishing rod's you may as well catch a snapper or two.
These are not trails for beginers. They are sort off hard. But hey what the heck, NO PAIN,NO GLORY.

Go south on Florida's Turnpike till it links to the 836 south. Now follow the 836 south to exit Flagler. Get off and make an left turn on the traffic light. Now drive down to 57 Avenue and make a right turn. Keep driving its coming up. You are going to pass streets called 24th Street(Coral Way), 40th Street(Bird Road), 56th Street, and US1. Keep driving on 57 Avenue. You are going to see alot of nice homes. That means you are in a nice area. Keep going looking for a traffic light that says Old Cutler Road. Turn left. Drive down that road its going to turn slightly left, stay on it. Soon you are going to see a small cement bridge. Pull over on the right shoulder. YOU ARE HERE! Now all you need to do is hold on to your cojones amigo and ride.
Summary: this trail is actually closed, the y finally started doing construction on it a couple of months ago, i never found it to be a very good trail as you are competeing with the paintballers for the area & are worried of getting shot! its been a long time since the rest of the trails were open but it was a nice ride, before the construction it was relegated to just the outside fire road which pretty much sucked but was worth going to the end to get a beautiful view of biscayne bay & the fishing was great there too

Summary: Bad news about the Snapper Creek trail. County workers are in the process of bulldosing that whole area down to the limestone. I passed by the other day and all the trees are gone and big metal dinosaurs took over with other plans for the area. I couldn't believe what I saw. Very sad.
Recommended Route: Directions to an alternate trail a mile away....Old Cutler Road to Matheson Hammocks Park street light and make left. If you go in the park by car, park immediately on your left. Then cross the parking area and go to the far right side of the park passed the the picnic area just before the property line to Fairchild Tropical Gardens next door. between the lake you will find the trail about 2 miles in length that takes you back to the bay.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Matheson Hammocks Park a mile north of Snapper Creek has a trail similar in length but lacks the huge drops Snapper Creek had. Beware of mosquitos, blue crabs, hikers and fallen trees from passed hurricanes. There are 2 trails in the same park, the one on the left near the entrance is paved and the one on the right passed the picnic areas is a mix of pine needles, dirt, sand, and limestone. It's only a couple of miles at the most and during hight tide you will run into a roadblock of water about a foot or more deep.

Ive have visited this trail 3 times during the past two months and i have surveyed it. Today I also cleared out some overgrowth (mostly vines)
-people just need to start riding the trails, this will automatically remove the overgrowth on the actual trail floor and it clean itself up
-EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO RIDES THIS TRAIL EVEN ONCE SHOOULD PUT IN ATLEAST SOME WORK, IT IS NOT FAIR FOR THE SMALL GROUP OF US WHO MAKE UP FOR EVERYONE ELSE'S LAZYNESS, IN OTHER WORDS...HAVE SOME RESPECT PLEASE
- Next time you visit this trail, please bring along atleast a machete to clear out some overgrowth, I did it today and it is not hard AT ALL

Summary: Hey I rode this trail after the two "hurricanes" that hit us and all i can say is that it needs a looottt of work on it.
There are large trees that have fallen over the trail, blocking it. For these i think building small bridges over them is the solution.
Also, there is a lot of overgrowth over trails. By this i mean mostly vines and small to medium sized branches.
If you guys are planning to ride here please do us all a favor and bring a machete or some sort of cutting tool like it. Before we begin the heavier work of building bridges, cleaning out extra-heavy overgrowth, and expanding the trails, we need to clear out the light overgrowth that gets in the way and slows things down.
So if any of you guys plan to ride these trails, even if its your first time at the trails, do you part in the effort to restore these trails before its too late.
