Very technical and well Plotted, being designed by one of the few who have designed the trails in P.B.C. Progress is still being made, your suggestions are welcome and will be addressed as this trail is sanctioned by the Parks dept. There is a number there
solely for that purpose. This is what the county has given us to use as a trail. Make it what we will it is ours to build. All skill levels have their own trails from the mild to some only the best can conquer, trials skills are awarded with big grins and or scabs. Thanks to all the people who got this trail going, labor and negotiations with the county, thanks to the county for the chance!!!!!!
Forest Hill to west of Jog Rd. Just east of Turnpike. Park at the tennis courts in Okeheelie Park, then ride south on Pinehurst, Just ofter school on left will be a chained entrance, emediately after will be the trail head.
Summary: Our favorite LOCAL trail - it's not really long, but it's a great workout. You can go as fast as you want to make it harder, but this is where we first learned (and continue to learn) how to handle a lot of little technical stuff: fallen logs, rollovers, tight spots, saw palmetto trunks. Not too much elevation change, but there are some ups and downs to get some quad-burning going. Local group (FORCE) does a nice job of upkeep and adding new trails and technicals - even after some jagoffs burned 3 acres!! Back in March during drought was VERY tough, but the sand is much, much better with some moisture on it. Try the Log Bridge - 30 feet of nerves, baby!
Recommended Route: Park at Freedom Park, ride South down bikepath on Pinehurst to chained gate into woods. If it's your first time on a MTB, ride all blues. If it's your first time at the trail but you've got skills, take the very first little red, and then the second red. That'll make about a 3 mile loop through. There are several other short Red off-shoots from the main trails that have LOTS of palmetto roots to navigate. They're about the hardest part of the whole trail. Some nice log rollovers built by FORCE lead you you other nice, short Red bursts of energy.

Summary: They did a lot of work on this trail. I am newer to riding in Florida but I had a lot of fun riding this trail. Since I started the trail has been marked so you know where your going. I always see people on the trail and everyone seems to like it. This is a technical trail with a lot of shade. If you haven't been to this trail in a while check it out.

Summary: This trail is mostly flat with alot of fallen logs to ride over. The trail mostly in the shade. The trail can get kinda sandy when it's dry.The trail has some tight twisty sections and there are many fallen trees to ride over, also log piles to climb over. It's about 3.8 miles long.
Recommended Route: Park at freedom park on Pinehurst Rd,and you can get to trail by riding to south end of park, just east of soccer fields, and enter the trail in the woods at the south end of the lake.Trail runs just west of where all the palm trees are planted.

Summary: The trail involves quite a bit of stump jumping and making one's way through tight turns with trees on both sides. In the summer, the course really gets sandy, although efforts have been made to mulch the sandiest portions. There is one ramp that you shouldn't try unless you know what you are doing. Nothing steep or high and hairy. I consider myself a newbie, & I found the course difficult, but have recently started feeling comfortable. I live 10 minutes from the course, I can go through the course in about 45 minutes, and feel good about getting my required aerobic exercise. Getting over the stumps is very difficult at 1st, but with some tips you will get the hang of it. Get some momentum, get up off the saddle & have fun!
Recommended Route: Trail is well marked with A, B & X sections. I ride mostly B with some X sections if I am following an experienced rider.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Jonathan Dickinson, Quiet Waters, Dyer Park.
