very fast. its not very technical at all. but offers alot of speed. great for a beginner to learn to ride off road, great for a racer to go fast through the woods. There are only a few up/down hills, and alot of sand. Its alot of fun.

Ridden Trail:
Every few months

Summary:
This is a fun and easy trail. Great place for beginners to have some fun on their bike. The trails do not have too much sand after it has rained. If you come here after a dry spell you will encounter some sand at the bottoms of the hills. There are 2 main loops to ride. 4.5 miles for the short loop and 7.5 miles for the longer loop. You can enter these trails off of the paved St. Marks trail or you can take the unmarked Papercup Trail which heads west from the parking area at the St. Marks trailhead just south of Capitol Circle.

The hills are never steep and they are short so you don't have to make this an aerobic workout if you don't want too. Trail does have some narrow passages through sets of pine trees. Be sure to check out the maps and wildlife info at the Munson Hills trailhead.

Recommended Route:
Clockwise

Other recommended trails in the same area:
St Marks paved trail: long, easy and a bit boring
Tom Brown park: contains Magnolia and Cadillac offroad trails as well as a BMX track
Phipps/Redbug/Lake Overstreet: offroad trails

Ridden Once

Summary:
Followed everyone's advice and rode the trail, following a rain. Was bored to tears, since I went alone, but got a great workout, and learned a lot about my bike's handling on wet sand and some mud. Overall, it was an OK ride, which could have been great, if I went with someone who new how to get around the place.

Recommended Route:
Took the dirt trail along St. Marks, till I ran into Munson Hills 1.5-2 miles later.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Tom Brown

Ridden Once

Summary:
Rode it once, never again. I was bored and feared an attack from wild indians as I pedeled through the woods on a ride that seemed like it was never going to end. Finishing the track I raised my arms in the air like Lance Armstrong after winning his 4th straight Tour, I was happy it was over.

Recommended Route:
St. Marks

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Red Bug, Tom Brown- take a trip to Austin TX for serious riding. Nothing in Tallahassee really compares.

Summary:
I rode this trail once a few years back. It was a nice, long trail with smooth curves and mild climbs. Overall, it was fun and fast. The sink holes are cool too. The sand, in places, tested my strength and handling skills. A nice change from the rooty Tom Brown/Red Bug.
