Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

Weekend Warrior Summary: If you are looking for a technically challenging trail, then this trail is not for you. But, if you want to ride a trail that nobody rides, this is a good choice. the hardest part about this trail is making sure you are on the trail. The trail is not used enough to keep leaves, pine needles and tree branch off the path. The only way to know your on the right path is the orange and blue blazes on the trees.
The trail has two loops, the Talquin loop and two smaller loops called the Long Leaf loops. Combined it is about 10 miles long. The first part of the trail is boring as you ridde through a clear cut area of the forest. Then you enter some very nice wooded areas. The trail leads you down beside the lake for some very nice views. The Talquin loop is mostly flat with a few gradual slopes to climb. THe Long Leaf loops do have a few drops and climbs. But nothing real hard.
The trail is covered with leaves so it is not a hard packed trail. This in turn gives you a good work out as you try to build up speed but can't.
I did see some deer in two different location.

Ridden Trail: Once a year

Weekend Warrior Summary: Trail is winding single track through pine uplands. Lots of sand in the dry months. This trail sees very little use and may be hard to follow if you are not paying attention. Some of the blazes are fading or have suffered from forest fires. There tends to be a lot of debris in the trail since it sees so little use. It is similar to the Munson Hills singletrack but with longer and slightly steeper uphills and downhills. However it is fun and well worth doing if the temperatures are not too high. Recommended Route: There are two loops. See the maps at the Lines tract Trailhead off of Cook Landing Rd.

Weekend Warrior Summary: This is a pretty neat trail. It is great for just about anyone. People who are just getting into mountain bikes will especially like it. My girlfriend and I enjoy riding this trail because it is very quiet and relaxing. It is a long ride so allow yourself plenty of time and take enough water.
