Cross Country Rider Summary: The Airborne crew and a few devoted hard working volunteers have taken the Halpat trail and turned it into a fun and worthwhile riding trail. It has some diversity and recently has had legal additions added. the single track has not been measured yet but I have ridden over 10 miles looping the trail and never rode the same trail twice. The only problem with Halpat is there are currently no signs, this is a Martin County problem, the County is in a budget crunch so the sings will not be in place till September 2007 with that said for the visiting rider it is best to set up a tour ride with one of the airborne folks so you can get the whole Halpat experience. With the proximity to I-95 it is worth a ride if you are passing by. The park also has facilities hiking trails, baseball, soccer, pavilions with grills, ect. which also make it a great family spot. Recommended Route: get with on of these nice folks who are always looking for an excuse to ride......
http://www.airbornemtb.org/ Other recommended trails in the same area: Dyer, Ft. Pierce, 49th Street, JD in 10 to 15 years when the trees grow back.

Cross Country Rider Summary: This trail is part single track and mostly dirt roads. Some of the trail is in shade, the area is mosly flat. The single track part of trail is good, but you have to carry your bike over most bridges. The double track dirt road part to the west is in the sun,and a boring ride.If the double was changed to single,it would be a nice trail, but until that happens, this trail is not much fun. Recommended Route: Go to website above. The trail is very hard to follow,as there few direction signs. Other recommended trails in the same area: Camp Murphy,Dyer, and Pinehurst

Cross Country Rider Summary: It's a good place to come out and log some miles -- not too challenging technically, but a good place to enjoy the natural setting and get fit... The river section can be technical in places and the ridges area is also technical with some small climbs. Recommended Route: Take I-95 to the Stuart exit at State Rd. 76. Head north to Lost River Road and then turn east. Follow signs to Halpatiokee Regional Park, then follow the park road, past the ball fields and park at Pavillion #7. There is a post near Pav 7 with doggie supplies and a yellow "Bike>" Marker. Follow the yellow and/or red arrows for the bike loop. Other recommended trails in the same area: Ft. Pierce, Jonathon Dickinson...
