Mad Trials
6 reviews
 2.33 of 5

Tons of serious jumps, downhills, kickers, and bridges. There are also shovels out there to build up or dig down obstacles. Spent 4 hours just exploring and playing around on my first visit. Highly technical although there are a few trails for noobies. Some trails are overgrown with thorns so be careful. Helmets are a must as there are some serious rocks and hidden tree stumps. More of a biking area as most trails are overlapping. Trail length is the length of the little trails added up together. Overall, the best trail I''ve been through thus far.

Summary:
This trail is done. Thank the Gainesville urban sprawl. Once again another example of land being taken for condons.

Recommended Route:
Go through the haunted trailer parker.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
San Flas, Santos

Summary:
Spent a night in Jail for being caught riding here. This area is private property and the pigs are on to it. Stay away!

Recommended Route:
Just drive to the jail and hand yourself in.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Santos Freeride and dirtjump area. Anything legal.

Summary:
I havent really rode many of the trails here but the Dirt jump area is tits. It was overgrown and in poor shape for a while, but in the last 3 months or so it has really been built up.

Recommended Route:
The way I normally get there:
My Girlfriend lives in Windmeadows (behind lowes/outback/butler plaza/etc) so i park there. From the windmeadows parking lot there is a small trail that cuts through to a limestone road. Once you get to the road, turn left (west) and ride for less than about a half mileand you will turn left in between two fence posts. Its pretty well worn so you will see where to turn. From there you will see the beginning of the jumps and stuff, go check it out.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Santos in Ocala, San Felasco for a peaceful singletrack ride

Tried looking for this trail today with no luck. Someone please post decent directions with street name/numbers and approximate distance where you turn. I'd really love to give this place a try.

Summary:
i thought i'd go have a look after seeing the first review. unfortunately it looks like this areas been pretty neglected, and the recent rains have taken their toll. looks like it was a good time at some point but it needs a lot of work. the ratings are required but seem kinda silly sense most of this isnt really in any kinda shape to ride
