Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

Reviewed by: Chris
, from Hoschton, GA Summary: I am spoiled. I am used to N. GA trails so in my opinion these trails were lame. They were not marked, sandy, ended ubruptly, and not well maintained. The views of the Suwannee River were nice and relaxing. Also I had a near death experience on this trail involving two rottweiler looking dogs that chased me for the longest time. I never hauled ass like I did that day. Recommended Route: Hrm is there a route? Other recommended trails in the same area: none

, from Gainesville, Florida, USA Summary: Contact me at my e-mail if you need info on these trails or the best little bike organization in Florida, the Suwannee Bicycle Association in White Springs. Phil Recommended Route: I recommend any of these trails, but I really like the Gar Pond Trail or the Bridge To Bridge Trail. Also, any of the sections of the Big Shoals Trails are especially fun.

Ridden Trail: Every few months

, from Jacksonville Summary: Well, there are a bunch of different trail systems here. The ones I have ridden most are Bridge to Bridge, Gar Pond, and Big Shoals. Maps and directions to each are available at the SBA HQ in White Springs. I would say Bridge to Bridge and Gap Pond are intermediate, and the rest are fairly easy. Outside of these 3, I *think* the rest are kind of sandy and not that good. Could be wrong (rode some of them once at a fat-tire festival). The trails seem almost like a big secret - I guess they are so far away from major population centers that they are somewhat unknown. Too bad. They are stunningly beautiful, with great views of the Suwannee River (except Gar Pond, I think) and are very well maintained. Its a great place to go and spend the day on a great big epic, but not too tecnical, ride. One of the best places to ride, just a little far away to do too often... Recommended Route: See header
