Weekend Warrior Summary: This trail is no more it has been bulldozed. Trails are still there but no trespassing signs have been posted. All jumps bridges teeters stunts etc.. have been removed this sucks Ive been riding these trails for over five years. Those trails were getting decent. There was a lot of building going on back in those woods towards the end of its life, oh well. Does anybody know of any drops jumps etc anything other than XC if so please contact me at kelliegoranflo@yahoo.com I have no place to ride now

Weekend Warrior Summary: Just wanted to let everyone know that thanks to some lady who went back in the park, hurt herself and then decided to sue the city, the trails have all been bulldozed. Well not all of them but everything that was built back there, the teeter totter, the jumps and the bridges are all gone. The trails were actually closed but last time i went i asked one of the prison workers what was going on and he told me they would reopen after they made sure everything was gone.
Island loop and the brickroad trail are still open. Island Loop isnt too bad, its an ok exercise, but with everything in the front of westside getting torn down its not really worth going. Recommended Route: right across from NAS JAX Other recommended trails in the same area: hannah, riverwalk (urban)

Weekend Warrior Summary: The trails have gotten alot better, some kids have built a pretty big teeter-totter up by the jumps, its about 4 ft high. They also built a wooden bridge that gots off a big hill and curves back onto it, They said they plan on building more stuff so you might wanna check it out soon.

Cross Country Rider Summary: I hadn't ridden the trails in over a year and went back last week. The section near the lumber yard but south of the old parking and trail head has been cleared. It looks like some sort of road widening or other construction is about to take place. The clearing is from the dirt jumps section to the cross road by the Yukon entrance and goes back about 30 yards into the woods.
Despite losing a bit of trail to this construction, there are a lot of new trails popping up. Some are decent, some are barely recognizable as a trail and end abruptly. Overall I would say the trails are more rideable now than a year ago. Also, if you ride all of the loops the distnace is closer to 5 miles and not 2 miles, but that includes the paved riding between the loops.
Not to be a homophobe, but there is also a bit of cruising (guy on guy type) going on out there. If you are a guy and easily disturbed by that, don't go alone, and don't make eye contact. Some of the cruisers can be very forward and persistent even when you give an "f--- off" or otherwise disinterested look. Probably not a danger, but distracting enough while sitting at a bench to cool down after a ride. Recommended Route: warm up as you ride south to the trailhead in the southern half of the park. Go clockwise, hitting all of the outside sections to maximize trail length. Exit at the starting trailhead and ride north along the paved road to the trails on the right. Take the trail all the way down to Timuquana and retrace back to the fork going west. Do the Island Loop, then the newer trail to the right coming back, then connect the loop with the last trail to the right. This brings you back by the concrete pipe and then eventually back to the road. Do the lookuot tower trail. The mulch and pine needles can slow you down quite a bit and provide a good workout. Take a break, climb the tower, then sprint back down the trail to the road. Do a cool down along the road. The whole thing should take about 40 minutes. Other recommended trails in the same area: What trails? There used to be some back where the large clearing is to the south of the park. Also, if you go about 1/2 mile south on 17 there is a road across the railroad tracks. There are (or maybe were) a bunch of jeep trails that lead back to the Ortega River and what was once called "Redneck Beach". The trails were pretty sandy and you had to watch out for motorcycles. There was a lake back there too, but I am pretty sure there are houses built up around there now.
Aerobit difficulty a 3 if you really push it. Not difficult at all but more difficult than a plain dirt road. There are a few logs and bridges, so a beginner may have to walk over a few obstacles.

, from Jax FL Summary: I have reviewed the trail before, but my wife and i did a ride here about a month ago, and i noticed they developed a few new trails out in the swamp land behind the ranger station. Same flat stuff just more of it, but that means you can ride more... and in Jax that is nice. Recommended Route: better just ride everything here Other recommended trails in the same area: Jax has better road riding than dirt... so train on the road and get out of town to hit the trail.
