This is a single track trail with mulitple skill levels. The track can be very intimidating but once you've riden it several times you can have a lot of fun. Lots of downhill rides!!! Some parts of the trail are very narrow!! Have fun!

Summary:
This is, or should I say, was a 1.5 mile loop that offered a little bit of everything to the beginner and intermediate levels. I went there on Oct 20 and was surprised to see a couple of Seminole Cty Parks trucks there. They just completed tearing down the entire park. No more bridges, jumps, or wooden structures to have fun on. Supposedly, some commissioner decided that the park wasn't safe. Anyway, for all of u guys that liked to have fun out here, it's over. Let's see if we can bring it back though!

Summary:
The short loop at Soldier Creek is a very enjoyable ride. The main trail is an up and back covering a distance of only about 1.5 miles, but the whole trail is right next to the bank of a nice creek ... sometimes fairly fast moving if there has been a lot of rain. There are several nice obstacles, both natural and manmade. You will encounter lots of roots, small bridges, log piles, and manmade ramps made out of pallets and plywood mainly. If you travel across route 419, there are several trails in the Spring Hammock Reserve. Trails range from a central service road and boardwalks that offer leisurely riding to several footpaths that run throughout the reserve where you will encounter a lot of roots, some logs, and mud in certain sections if it has rained recently. It's not Santos or Hardrock, but for a trail that's close to home and work, it's a very enjoyable ride. The surroundings in the Spring Hammock Reserve are very beautiful and jungle like. The combo of the short loop and the trails in the Spring Hammock Reserve offer riding for beginners and enough of a challenge for intermediate riders to get a good workout.

Recommended Route:
The short loop adjacent to the ball fields is a fun ride with several nice obstacles. You can continue your ride heading SE under route 419 into the Spring Hammock Reserve where you will find several trails that will take you into some very beautiful natural.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
I also ride the trail off of Snow Hill road. It too can be very wet and muddy in areas after a hard rain. It's also more of a scenic ride with some nice obstacles. This is a much longer ride than Soldier Creek, and you can make a long loop of 5 to 6 miles, I would say. Unfortunately, on recent rides more and more obstacles, i.e. log piles, are being cleared so the ride is becoming less challenging. This is definitely a good place for first time riders and riders that want a more leisurely and scenic ride.

Summary:
I rode this trail after it had rained a few days before and it was just like everyone else had said, very wet & nasty. A lot of roots and clay. The bridge at the 17-92 end was washed out and impassable. This trail can be ridden by beginners even though they may have to walk a few sections. Intermediate riders can have a blast on the fast sections and bridges. Advanced riders might be bored, but it looked like the locals were building (not completed as of this review) an elevated bridge (North Shorish)on one part of the trail. I will definitely ride this trail because it is only 2 miles from my brother-in-law's place. The park has drink machines but none of them take my dollar. No water in the whole park, so bring plenty.

Recommended Route:
counter-clockwise
