Weekend Warrior Summary: Not a very tech trail but I agree with the other reviews and that riding down the steps was the best part. It is a nice trail however, I rode it a few times as a warm up befor venturing out to find the shoals. The ride to the shoals was somewhat disapointing, it was mostly fire lanes (some had just been disked). The palmetto trail was pretty cool and the shoals were awesome to see. Worth the trip if you have nothing else to do, you can invite beginners along. Good job of trail maintenance! Recommended Route: Start at the steps and just follow the trail, it is marked by blue blazes. After that, grab a map from the kiosk and head out to find the shoals. You can ride to Little Shoals and take the 4 mile paved trail through the woods back. You can easly get 15 - 20 miles in. Other recommended trails in the same area: Firt time in this area but will be back to check out Bridge to Bridge and Gar Pond. If you make it down to Tampa, Alafia rocks!

, from Gainesville Summary: Best trail I rode in White Springs. Very short but fun beginning with some steep step jumps. Not overtly technical but about as technical as you get. Go here and spend the day exploring Big Shoals. Ride along the nature trail(illegally) and bring a picnic lunch and be lazy by the river. Recommended Route: website Other recommended trails in the same area: San Felasco, Razorback

, from Gainesville Summary: This is one of the trails in White Springs. (there are a number of them) It is at the end of big shoals near a new bathroom and picnic area. Its not very long but worth doing. technical for being realitivly flat. Usual florida riding, roots, then sand, then wet roots, then a small hill. its really worth riding. Recommended Route: It has become a very one way trail due to the fact that if you haven't ridden it before you don't know where it comes out. and the fun steps at the begining. Other recommended trails in the same area: Big shoals, bridge to bridge, gar pond, Anderson springs, Big Oak
