Weekend Warrior Summary: I've just started this biking things and i've been to boyette three times. Boyette is great because of its great variety. Easy, slow trails for beginners wind their way through the woods ( Southeast, Southwest, Northeast and Northwest. While faster more technical sections are fun for intermediate like me ( Spider Berm, Loch Ness, Meadow, Gold Cart....) There are also the expert trails which i dont think i can handle yet ( Abyss, Pandemonium and Baby Nessie) Recommended Route: go to the SWAMP website for two different maps to the park.
Go here: http://outdoortravels.com/biking_fl_overview_balmboyette.html for a map of the trails

Weekend Warrior Summary: I really enjoy these trials. It offers all sorts of riding depending on what you feel like that day. After riding the 2 miles of double track, you have your choice of fast flowing single track, or more technical, and demanding stuff. You might need a map or a guide to find them but some of the funnist IMO, trials are North Abyss, South Abyss (say hi to the kitty), and pandemoniom. On South abyss there is a place called Big Drop, you may want to take a long look before shooting down it. Recommended Route: Go to S.W.A.M.P's web site and look it up. Other recommended trails in the same area: Alafia

Weekend Warrior Summary: This area was a blast...3 people in the parking lot and I was the only person out there on a good mid week day in Jan. The place is huge and gave me the feeling that I was the only person in the world. I saw a big alligator, a bobcat, many armadillos and gopher tortises. hawks and a hundred black vultures. Oh, this is about mtn biking, sorry. Ok the parking lot sucks, one high tech porta potty and a small dirt lot, no running water. etc. so go before you get here ! lots of technicial intermediate trails and double track open vistas. take a map and cell phone, if your not good at orienteering, and getting reference points you will get lost and die. Recommended Route: It was my first time here and I only rode through a few sections of the park, in a few hours, spider ?something and loch ness were my favorite. It would take a few days to get to know the whole park. I didn't go on the expert trails. All the trails here were fast and didn't have ten thousand roots like at Alafia st park. Alot of the trails would make for a great cross country run. Other recommended trails in the same area: I did Not like Alafia, but thats just me. Maybe Im not good enough. But the beginneer and intermediate trails at Alafia are just plain stupid.

Weekend Warrior Summary: This is A Great bunch of trails with something for all skill levels. The green trails are a little easier then Alafia, but still challenging (I only fell 3 times), and the harder ones offer a lot for the more advanced rider. My only complaint is the parking area is too small, especially on the weekends! They are building more trails here that will be open very soon. I really think this is a great group of trails for those just starting and the more advanced riders, thats why I rank it so high.
You can get a trail map here: http://ajsbikesandboards.com/page.cfm?pageID=117 Recommended Route: I recommend riding the SST trail off the 2 track enty road heading to the main trails going in and back. Other recommended trails in the same area: Alafia State Park
Wilderness Park Trails

Cross Country Rider Summary: Rode this trail for the first time 11/22. I REALLY like this system. Has the signiture SWAMP style trails: good flow, lots of g-outs, and nice benchcut action. The more technical trails are very similar to Alafia but with alot less trafic and more scenery (I saw an eagle and 2 hawks). It has a nice remote feel to it, in the first hour and half I didn't see anyone else. Because of this make sure to bring spares/tools/food/firstaid etc. Trails were in great shape with barely any sand even though we haven't had rain in weeks. As far as the "2 mile ride to the trails" is concerned, I don't see what the big deal is. You are there to ride your bike but don't want to ride your bike 2 miles so you can then ride your bike some more? I like the sections of doubletrack, makes for nice cooldowns between the harder stuff. If you ONLY want to ride the "gnar" (rolleyes) stuff or not more than 10 miles then you may not enjoy Boyette. If you like Northcreek/Bridges/Rollercoaster and want more miles and scenery with less crowds try Boyette. I ride a ridgid SS and only had to walk two or three climbs (32:16) cause I'm a bit outta shape. My favorite trails were: Lochness, North Abyss, Sidewinder, Pandemonium and Golf Cart. Some one said that this is one of the most underrated systems in the state and I would have to agree.
Recommended Route: You WILL need a map or a guide to get the most out of it. Other recommended trails in the same area: Alafia
