Killens Pond

It isn't much for single track or hills, but its something to get you off the road. The trails are dirt/grass. Its nice for a leisure ride if you dont have the time to travel up north to the real trails. Push the big gear and play.

Summary:
i grew up not far from here, while lower delaware is not known for hills (there are none), Killens pond is a good getaway for a couple of hours or if you're looking to introduce a beginer to trail riding. The main trails are well marked and have very little challenges as far as obsticales go. There is some singletrack, but is difficult to find. The trails arround the pond are closed to bikes, however is a nice area to hike. Not a bad area to get the winter legs (or belly) off or are just looking for an easier workout.

Summary:
Is doable for small kids, old grandmas, or the mountain biker who is camping and realizes they are stuck in the middle of pancake flat delaware and needs something (wouldnt even call it a fix). A LOT of sand on the trails so be careful. Went flying down a small downhill and damn near killed myself because the sand looks white... just like the rest of the road and trail there! Only it wasnt hard and packed. Great for people who dont mountain bike EVER. Try the water park for $1.50 when your done. Worth the trip.

Recommended Route:
Only two ways to go.. around the circle to the left, or around the circle to the right!

Other recommended trails in the same area:
none really.. bring your road bike if your coming here. There arent any trails really.. but plenty of wide open flat land to ride with just about all of it back roads.
