Cross Country Rider Summary: The Chestnut Hill trail is great for beginners and intermediate riders...it offers nice rolling hills with tight turns and close trees...even has some small jumps and whoops...a nice mixture of terrain and very well maintained. You really cant go wrong riding here... Other recommended trails in the same area: Middle Run & White Clay Creek

Cross Country Rider Summary: the upper portion is smooth and rolling from coach hill to the creek. this part can be realy fun. great way to start your ride. Recommended Route: i like to start at the judge morris lot and take a right down the hill. when i get to the main trail i go in a clockwise direction 3/4 of the way around, go up the connector and down to the parking lot.

Cross Country Rider Summary: It's not much, but it can be fun. I usually ride it as a warm-up or cool-down to a ride through Middle Run. Recommended Route: Either way, it's only one loop. Other recommended trails in the same area: Middle Run, White Clay, Fair Hill (MD)

Cross Country Rider Summary: This trail is a great prelude/warmup to the rest of the white clay/middle run area. it is superbly maintained. Kudos Trailspinners! It can be ridden by any rider. Great for working on your skills. Not too technical, but enough to keep you on your toes. Recommended Route: clockwise for a good warmup. Other recommended trails in the same area: The White Clay/ Middle Run area is awesome. Fair Hill rocks( if you know it well), Brandywine S.P., Iron Hill sometimes(it needs about a few weeks of no rain to be ridable)

, from Wilmington DE Summary: Great beginner- intermediate trail. Excellent for time trial use as there are a few technical sections which do not require great skill. This season's heavy rains caused some new woopdie doo's and one bad spot that easily causes over the handlebar dismounts. If going clockwise around the loop, look out after the first wooden bridge in the last 1/4 of the loop. There are some great heart training hills if going counter clockwise. True about no long down hills, but there is very nice twisty singletrack that does go down hill for a bit clockwise. The log hops are more for erosion control (and speed control) rather than technical log crossings. This trail is used a lot by hikers and runners, so keep an eye out as speeds can get quite fast on the downhill section going clockwise. There are a few new downed trees, but those are removed quite frequently during trail maintenance. There are no stream crossings, no hairy bridge crossings, a few muddy spots depending on weather and a few nice jumps. Very nicely maintained trail!! Recommended Route: Clockwise for faster downhill
Counter clockwise for longer uphill training. Other recommended trails in the same area: Middle Run is right across the street.
