Fairly easy riding, good area for beginners. The Laurel Brook trail is great, and the Little Falls trail is the most challenging- steep switchbacks downhill, a creek crossing, and then a tough climb back to the main trail. These two will keep intermediate-advanced bikers entertained for early-season warm-up rides. Most of the other trails are basically rocky double-tracks.
Summary: not a lot of trails, keep your eyes open there a lot of home made drops and log rides that are fun and generally pretty easy.
Recommended Route: ride every trail theres not too much variety and none of the trails are very long
Other recommended trails in the same area: middlesex college trails, blue blazed trails near guidas

Summary: not technical at all. a fun fast ride.. i would recomend these trails for beginners, or for family. and yes like everyone said the hikers are jerks. just go during the rain, the place is empty. normally i head over to middlesex to ride, then stop here on the way back.
Recommended Route: i recomend you find the unmarked singletracks.. they arent very challenging, but this place is great if you're bored or looking for an ok recovery ride.i live down the street from this place, so i hit the trails about twice a week. the little falls trail offers the best downhill section with a rough climb after the stream. i also recomend riding out to rockfall on the main trail, then back on the singletrack at the end of it. look to your left.
Other recommended trails in the same area: middlesex.

Ridden Trail: Once a week

Summary: This is a good ride for working on technique to be used at Creek 187 or Maromas. It's also good if you are trying to get some aerobic workouts done. I prefer to enter on Laurel Brook road (toward the top) and pound up the Laurel Brook trail (about 250 yards of loose, rocky uphill). From there, the Cedar Loop will take you out to areas with lots of little singletrack spurs. These spurs are fun, with narrow tree passages, tight switchbacks (lay off the brakes and try not to skid - that'll close the trails for all cyclists), and fun hills. The Salmon Brook trail (parallels Laurel Brook Road and passes the Wadsworth Mansion pumphouse ruins) has some nice, off-camber areas and little drop off options. Deer Trail is mostly easy, but has a mossy rock section that is tough to climb - good for finesse work if it's been rainy. Little Falls trail is likely the most challenging of the main, names trails, with steep, slick switchbacks, the aforementioned creek crossing, and brutal climb back to the main trail (especially with wet tires). It's best to go on weekends, adverse weather days, or twilight with a lighting system (lots of wildlife to see). Just be courteous and share the trails - horses and families ALWAYS get right-of-way.
Recommended Route: Start from Laurel Grove road or the parking lot by the big falls. From the Main Trail, there are lots of spurs, both wide and narrow. Keep an eye out for little single-track spurs that are a lot more challenging.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Creek 187 (Cromwell), Maromas/Reservoir (Middletown)

Summary: Wadsworth is a lot of fun if you just want to go crusing around. There are a few main, very smooth and clean trails, that are used a lot by people on horseback andh hikers and runners. However, there are also a lot of little singletrack trails right off the main trails that are hard to see sometimes. Also, I think the best trail to ride is the yellow trail that runs along the Laurel brook and goes past the old Wadsworth Mansion pumphouse, its probably the most technical trail there, but Wadsworth isnt all about technical stuff, its just about crusin around. So yeah, Wadsworth is good if you arnt looking to kill yourself, but just want to get out and moving around.
Recommended Route: You can park anywhere along Laurel Grove Road, inthe Mercy High School lot, or in the main parking lot for the park which is located on Wadsworth Street, big signs, easy to see. The main entrance to the park is on Wadsworth street, but you are better off just leaving your car on Laurel Grove Rd. for better trail access, and also, dont speed down Laurel Grove, because all the flowers and memorabilia on that large tree isnt to make it look nice. People have died on that road, so please, just slow down.
Other recommended trails in the same area: If you are looking for mind blowing trails and you went to Wadsworth to find them, then you went to the wrong place. I reccomend going up to the Middlesex College and Resevoir trails, they are tiiiiiiiiiight. I might be a little biast being that Im from middletown, but I swear these are some of the best trails around. Anything that you can think of is back here, just too much to write about, you gotta go there for yourself. You can park at the MXCTC lot, or on Bear Hill, Maromas roads. Just get a map, Im not trying to figure out directions. Also, if you want more info on the area, stop by Pedal Power in downtoen Middletown, they know the area really well and will help you out, plus I think they take groups out on the weekends sometimes to go riding up there. Have fun.

Summary: This is not very good except if you are going with your whole family. its a good starting place worth 2 stars
Recommended Route: Go off every turn possible to make this a better ride. Some of the back trails are so-so. What is fun is for your last run get to where you go down the hill to little falls or whatever its called and instead of going down to little falls go toward the main parking lot with as much speed as possible and hit air toward the end of the main trail. WATCH OUT FOR OTHERS!!! this is the most popular trail.
Other recommended trails in the same area: all others if you can ride
