RIVER TRAIL

Tremendous downhills, on both hard pack and sand dunes. Rivers, and pretty much everything you could ever want. Takes a lot out of you, make sure you have a hydration pack and some energy bars.

Summary:
Its more of an ATV/motorcycle place, and is not much fun for biking. I'd rather go up the road to Old Furnace State Park.

Recommended Route:
none

Summary:
This is a decent ride, with some whoops and jumps, and it's pretty flat. There's a bunch of side trails off the main trail, don't be afraid of getting lost, everything eventually leads to the river where you started or Rt 12, which is where you parked.

Recommended Route:
RT 395 to exit 91, at the light take a left, the trail head is 100 feet past the light. Park in the liquor store across the street, they don't mind, and it's convenient for post-ride hydration

Other recommended trails in the same area:
The trailhead is 1/3 mile from Ross's Cliff/Old Furnace State Park, which is a lot of fun with some extreme technical sections, jumps, drops, etc. Email me for directions to Ross's and other spots in NE Connecticut
