Cross Country Rider Summary: Gay City has some good trails with a few little technical sections thrown in for fun. The only major problem is the number of dog owners who feel that the park is their dog's personal bathroom. There are poop bags laying all over the place. You just have to get away from the main areas and hit the upper part of the blue and the lower red. Recommended Route: Ride from Case, down the single track off the upper part of the blue, out across the yellow bridge and back up the blue.

Weekend Warrior Summary: The white to red trail was good. Saw a snake and the way down over rocks was great...Wife and I went when it was very muddy...Little brake rub afterwards but had a great time... Recommended Route: RED at parking spot. Other recommended trails in the same area: all

Weekend Warrior Summary: Ride Gay City often and find it lots of fun with good climbs, down hills, some rock gardens and drop offs. Recommend getting off the fire roads and stick to single track for a climb to Birch Mt. If you stay within the park and perimeter, there's 10-20 miles of riding. Cross over and look for the Fern trail for easy single track to Glastonbury resevoir area. Gets a little hairy by the rez. Loop back or explore and you'll end up at Case Mt. Find your way back to top of park, off Birch Mt. Rd. and the downhill ride to the pond is a blast. Check out the single track on right, just as you start down. Smooth and fast till you cross over the gasline trail Recommended Route: Mix it up and explore

, from Manchester Summary: Rode on 4/27, trails were mostly dry with a few mud patches, plenty of rocks on the uphills and downhills for a little challenge. This is a good spring ride to get back into the saddle. Recommended Route: Take the red trail loop counter clockwise starting at the front parking area, then continue all the way around the red trail loop or zig zag from red to white to yellow and back to red. Other recommended trails in the same area: other places to go case mountain, valley falls (old bolton drive in/commuter lot),

, from Andover Summary: Great place to start mtn biking or simply to get a good work out as you can generally keep a fast pace. Taking the outer red loop / blackledge clockwise allows you to get warmed-up a bit as this begins flat to downhill. A bit muddy after rains and the red trail on the north side of the pond can be crowded at times (blackledge extension is much less crowded) Definitely add Case mtn area across Birch Mtn road for a longer trip and more technical trails. Intermediate or better riders will probably not find it very challenging. Recommended Route: Outer red loop clockwise from parking lot. When that gets too easy add the blackledge falls extension up the power lines to the fern single track (see bikerag topo...fern is not obvious so keep looking...if you hit the orchards...you missed it) then back down old Gay City road until you hit the outer red trail again. Other recommended trails in the same area: Case Mtn
