I haven't explored it much but there's one good ride with a technical uphill followed by a screeming downhill. There are other trails i just haven't gotten around to riding yet.

Summary:
You can hit this area many times before you run out of new loops and trails. Conditions are generally good, with the elevation keeping the mud down during the wet season. There are numerous water crossings which you will climb out of. West of Birch Mtn. Road is moderatly technical with short steep climbs. Not to many long grinders here. Most is rideable, most of the time. Conditions can get very slick(rocks/roots) so leave the slicks home. Beginners will like the Gay City loop. Can't get lost here and plenty of people to help you out if you have a problem. Intermediate and above head up and over Birch Mtn. road....you won't be disapointed.

Recommended Route:
From the small parking area off Hebron Ave bear left
to the power lines...look for the gas line(north) this is a good, fast trail that you can warm up on. You will intersect main tote road through Gay City. Left takes you up the hill to Birch Mtn. Rd and into the trails there(Power lines, Res. Nike Site) and if you want Case Mtn. Left takes you into Gay City and the
primarily easy trails there. Full loop, B. Falls to Case Mtn back through Gay City back to the car 23 miles. Very few hikers, very little traffic. Some Moto
folks out here, but they know what they are doing and they do help keep the trails clear and much of what is available is because of them......
