Stony Creek Quarry

Great terrain with mix of single and double track, but unfortunately poorly maintained and overgrown. Some rocky technical areas, moderate hills, some unridable areas. Very little bike traffic any more.

Summary:
OK, I've actually been here twice; I went today, and the time before was many years ago. I was disappointed to see that the trails have not been well maintained since I was there last. It is a great network of trails with some great technical riding, rocky sections, and technical sections you can haul down, but most trails are overgrown to obscurity, some with many downed trees blocking the trail (no, I don't mean log-hops). I would love to see this area get cleaned up and used - it has great potential, and it's linked to Westwoods.

Recommended Route:
Stick to the main trails that look clear. Follow the trailhead in until you reach an open wooded area with large boulders on the left. Trail continues straight or up the hill to the left. Follow the trail up the hill on the left. Fun trail, in generally good ridable condition. AVOID the Orange/Green trail that winds through the northeastern part of the trail system. Would make a great hike, but not while carring your bike...
