Good riding of all types, for all abilities. Faster and flatter than other trails in the region?? The corkscrew is a blast

Trail Directions
From I-91, take exit 54. Right off end of ramp, then left at traffic light (Zanes is across the street). After a mile or so, you'll see an Irish pub on the left (don't remember the name). Turn left here; you'll go under a bridge almost immediately. Park after you pass pond.

Summary:
What a great ride, really had a blast. Not terribly technical or steep(at lest the part i did, more exploring to come), but a really fun ride. Managable singletrack, great place to get some trail confidence if youre new to the sport & fun to rip through if youre not.

Recommended Route:
All over, just go in & explore.

Summary:
fast smooth, not very technical. Its a good place to work on your spin without riding the road. Most the doubletrack trails are well groomed. The singletrack flows well. It is good riding when you don't have much time or you are looking for a quick fun blast after work. Great place if you're just getting into biking
5 stars for a good intro into Mtn biking. kinda boring if you're looking for hardcore riding

Summary:
Trails are flatter and dryer, with more loose rocks,
than most in the area. Soil is clay-based, slippery when wet. There are some good climbs, the corkscrew and a long straight climb leading up to the top of it. Definitely descend on the corkscrew. Warm up by taking a lap around the pond. Look out for other riders and hikers. Proceed to Jalapeno Heaven (about 1 mile south on rt.1) for post-ride Mexican.

Recommended Route:
I-95 to exit 54 (Cedar Street in Branford, CT). Right to rt.1 form northbound, left from southbound. Left on rt.1 and follow to bar on left (if you get to Main Street you've gone too far). Take that left and follow all the way back.

Reviewed by: Adam , from Wallingford

Summary:
Unfortunately the whole north side has been fenced off. Lots of speculation (see threads on CT NEMBA site) as to why but the bottom line is it cut the available trails in half. You can poach it easily enough on a bike by getting around the fence but many of the trails have been graded, laid with big chunks of fill, and obstructed by fallen trees. No more corkscrew, mat, or 911. The front half just isn't worth making the trip for, unless you live very nearby. If you're looking for more than 45 minutes of riding, skip it.

Recommended Route:
