A few miles of fast, fairly smooth singletrack. Goes down to Long Island Sound and Bluff Point. Some technical sections, but mainly FAST FAST FAST. Sweet trials area on rocks near ocean.

Summary:
This trail has something for everyone,I have a 11 mile route that i do,Forwards, backwards and Now at nite. The trail is a blast. Some tech.stuff and some easy stuff, uphill downhill.Great all around trail riding!I loop this trail to Haleys Farm to complete the 11 mile loop. There are alot of walkers here with Dogs so be careful. Most dogs are NOT on a leash.Horses too.

Recommended Route:
Park by the main road in Groton,Take the boardwalk in to the park.Head over to haleys farm then return and head down to the ocean to check out the views!

Other recommended trails in the same area:

Summary:
It's an entertaining place to ride a few times a year, but I think it would get boring if you rode it any more frequently than that. It's pretty flat, pretty non-technical compared to other areas in CT and, like everywhere else in CT, the trails need work. It would be a good place to take beginner freinds/spouses, etc. for a nice leisurely ride. Make sure you take the bridge over the railroad tracks because about half the park is over there. Also watch out for walkers, joggers, dog-walkers, and stroller pushers- no railing around blind corners. Some of the roads flood at high tide. Don't ride through the puddles- it's salt water (one of the locals told me otherwise) and will rust any ferrous metal parts.

Recommended Route:
Just go out and explore.

Summary:
flat double track and it may be good for XC riders but if you have a eight or nine speed freerider you may want to look elsewhere. DONT go after it rains its really gross. There is a pretty sweet rock garden at the point and a nice place neer the point that is a giant rock that is prettyfun but in order to get there you have to ride for about a mile. The last part of the trial is downhill which is real fun

Recommended Route:
when you start out going to the right look to your left and you will see a couple small downhill "hills" that and the rock formation farther ou is pretty much it

Summary:
I've ridden ALL the trails at Bluff Point (some MTB some MUni), in fact I've mapped (email me) all the trails at Bluff Point. There's drops of more than a foot and a steep place I had trouble walking. Watch out for the tidal stream on the lower fire road at high tide, salt water is bad for pedals.

Recommended Route:
Fire road to the up-hill fire road and left after the bench.

Summary:
I agree with pretty much everyone, very nice local trail, large amounts of water and mud (due to all the rain lately) add to the excitement, especially going into the blind corners. definately a trail for XC and hardtail rigs, not a DH course.

Recommended Route:
the loop is fine
