Steven's Creek

Average Rating:    (0 of 5)

Steven's Creek is a great trail desending down the east side of Missionary Ridge. From the top to the bottom of the Animas Valley provides 4,000 ft of pretty smooth single track. This trail has been neglected and somewhat fogotten since the Missionary Ridge fire of 2003. There may be a few more fallen trees and rocks in the trail becuase of that, but usually the trail is very ridible. One can pedal up and down or do a easy shuttle. Take CR 250 to FS 682. Leave a car when the road turns to dirt. Drive that FS 682 until FS 595 until you see a rough road on your right. Park and ride south on a series of old dirt roads until you get to Missionary Ridge trail. Be careful and bring a map or GPS.
