This trail goes from Breckenridge to Frisco. You start at about 9600ft and end at 9000ft. It's a 9 mile trail and can be done as a loop by riding the bike trail from Frisco back.

The initial climb is full of roots and rocks. Once you are in a few miles its a bunch of short climbs and gradual downhills. It doesn't feel like much work. You will turn left into a huge clearing and then do a short climb after. Once you reach the intersection of the Gold Run Trail it's pretty much downhill from there. Enjoy. It's a nice 3+ mile downhill which will have you grinning ear to ear.

Summary:
Super fun intermediate trail that's mostly uphill from Frisco to Breckenridge and even more fun coming back down. Nothing to major as far as technical riding goes, just a couple of steep sections, slippery roots, and some bridge crossings. Also watch out for tons of hiking tourists near the Breck side. Might be a little bit harder if you aren't used to the elevation.

Recommended Route:
I park at the lot at the end of 2nd street just south of Maine st in Frisco. After a good ten miles you'll find yourself at the base of peak 7. If your in a hurry turn around and let the fun begin, or ride down into Breck grab some food or drink, chill or not, then catch the free gondola ride back up to the base of peak 7 and rally back to Frisco.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Tons of trails in the area, I like to pedal my way up the service road at Keystone mountain and take any of the blue runs down.

Summary:
Peaks trail is fun! I rode it three times this summer, as I am frequently coming and going through Summit County. It is a fun contrast to so many of the CO Front Range trails that are all up, then all down. As it cuts across the front of the Ten Mile Range from Breck to Frisco, it rolls up and down, with lots tech rooty, rocky moves, and a bunch of flowy cruising. On the way to frisco, it ends with a couple miles of curvy descent along a creek which is fantastic. There is a wall ride if you keep your eye out, a couple nice jumps, and a stair set that sneaks up on you.

Recommended Route:
I've only done it as a quick shuttle ride. I park in Frisco behind the Safeway, and catch the Summit Stage w/ my bike. It's a free bus running every half hour all day w/ three bike racks on each bus. Ride it all the way to the Breck Gondola. Ride out and start up ski hill road and in less than half a mile you jump on singletrack that will eventually climb its way to Peak 7 (I still just meander, as there are a few trails). Start ripping at the trail head, pretty easy to stay on trail. There is one junction with the miner's creek trail. Go right (when traveling breck to Frisco). Ends at a dirt road, jump on the short, fun Rainbow lake trail. And you pop out in Frisco a 1/2 mile bike path ride from the car. Easy 2.5 hrs or less. Watch out for weekends.
