Bike Park Trail Descriptions
Nowhere in the towns of Mountain Village or Telluride could riders hone their skills, at least legally, until now. In the fall of 2009, we crafted multiple trails to include 1,100 feet of vertical drop, over 30 berms, and various jumps. But it is the way in which you access the Bike Park - via the FREE gondola - that makes this a one-of-a-kind downhill biking experience. From Station St. Sophia, the Mountain Village Bike Park entrance is situated about 150 yards south. Once there, you can indulge your senses as you steer your way through the various trail options, each built to International Mountain Bicycling Association guidelines.

No-Brainer Trail
This single blue, three-foot wide, 1.5-mile trail runs from the top of the Bike Park to the bottom with an average grade of 12%. Expect smooth, rolling, curvy cruising.

Squirrel Catcher Trail
Located at the entrance to the Bike Park, this is the first trail you will encounter, but it's not the easiest. Squirrel Catcher is a short, 150-foot long test track with examples of features you will find on black and double black trails in the Bike Park. Bottom line: If you're not sure you have the skills for this single black, or any other black trail, don't do it. Instead, ride back to No-Brainer and practice there until you're ready to progress.

T-Bone Trail
This double blue, singletrack trail cuts off from the No-Brainer Trail and reconnects after 0.3 miles. T-Bone is a good introduction to singletrack turns through the trees.

Pan-Coaster Trail
This brand new single black trail runs 0.5-miles long and branches off of No-Brainer 0.3 miles below the Bike Park entrance. This trail features numerous meticulously crafted berms that flow in and out of the tress adjacent to the World Cup Trail. There are plenty of opportunities for air on Pan-Coaster.

World Cup Trail
Part of the original 2002 World Cup downhill race course, this double black, rocky singletrack forks off Pan-Coaster 0.5 miles from the entrance to the Bike Park, stretches 0.75 miles long, and incorporates log jumps, steep drops and berms - a potpourri of expert downhill features.
